Providian Bank Emerge ripoff sold my account to Emerge and then Emerge closed it Internet
I sent in a large payment to my account to pay some bills with. When I went to pay the bills my card wouldn't work. I called and was told my account was sold and that the other company closed it. I had been a customer since 1999 with no late payments.
I aksed for my money back and was told since it posted to the account I was out of luck. Tried to call the number I was given for Emerge and it didn't work. I was told by Providian they sisn't have to tell me my account was being sold.
