Providian National Bank PROVIDIAN...WOKE ME WITH A SUMMONS victimized many consumers Tition New Hampshire
Much to my surprise and shock I awoke to a deputy at my front door with a summons for my husband. It seems as if PROVIDIAN has commenced a civil action against my husband. Two years ago we did a balance transfer with Providian, and up until recently we were making payments just fine. We hit a slump during the summer and were not able to pay the full minimum amount. We did send in payments although it was not for the full amount.
Now it seems that they are all of a sudden seeking the full amount. There were NO phone calls, no letters or any type of attempt to contact us. We have tried calling the company to discuss repayment, but the lines are busy or we are put on hold for horrible amounts of time.
My husband and I are now seeking a local attorney to help with this matter. I feel as if we have been abused by this company and for anyone out there looking to open an account with Providian, my only response is DON'T DO IT!!!
