Proview Technology - EMC Multisystems Monitor SA-770/PROVIEW manufacturing error ripoff
I have had the same problem with my 17" monitor as I am seeing all over the Internet. I was using my computer, then my monitor went "click" (and continues to click!), but nothing else happens - I no longer get a picture. I have had the monitor for 2 years, and apparently this is a common problem. EMC is no longer in business, but it has been taken over by Proview. They are willing to fix it in the second year, in accordance with the warranty, but . . . it will cost $80, payable in advance (cashier's check or money order only), and shipping has to be paid both ways by the customer. Such a deal! I can replace it for about $100 or so with a brand-new monitor!
I feel since this appears to be a very common problem, it is a manufacturing error, it should be fixed by the company for no additional charge.
