I started off surfing the web for something totally off the subject. A popup came on the screen from inventors help line (the one so commonly seen on tv) and it said something about submitting an idea. Ironically, the week before I came up with an idea that would revolutionalize electronics and security as well as peace of mind.

After about a week, I was contacted by Larry McNut from P.T.I., he was very professional and we began a very personal realationship. He first explained to me the impotance of getting started right away since my idea was so technogically advanced. He quoted me 1200 for a portfolio and what I found out later was just a professional opinion. He kept reating himself that It was very important that I did not have to do any work except make decisions. I replied that my financial situation was very limited and that I had already exhausted all other options. Again he replied not to worry that he would be by my side all the way. So, he sent me some confidintal agreement forms so that I may discuss my idea with others without giving up rights.

After about 9 months I finally found someone that could split the 1200 and we sent him the money and ALL of my drafts, notes, ideas, reasearch accomplishments. 12 weeks went by and we recieved our portfolio. In this portfolio was a large notebook full of stuff that I had already documented and in NO way was similar to my notebook. I called Larry at this time and he told me that I was no longer his responsibilty and conected me with another person that told me now the next step was only 12,000 dollars away and during this step we would only be advised to an attorney and get representation at trade shows.

It has now been about 5 years and my idea is about 75-80% already on the market. I have lost a friend due to this because Larry ASSURED us that he would remain by our sides the whole way through to see taht my idea was made into something useful by all societies. And now I am even more discouraged and even more unable to financially support my "baby".

Since then I have reasearched many companies that I found out have the exact same program which has discouraged me from believing that there is any such program that will assist hopeless inventors in becoming someone important.
