Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
During November and December 2008, I received several bills from Publishers Business Service which were very vague. The bills did not appear to be legitimate as they did not list any details of the goods or services that I had supposedly ordered.

Today a man from Publishers Business Service called me demanding payment of $29.90 per month for shipping and handling of magazines that I had not even received yet. I told him that I did not order the magazines. He said he had the recording of the telephone conversation from October. I told the man that I recalled speaking to the marketer but said I did not want the magazines when I learned they were not truly free. He passed me on to a young lady in Customer Service who played the recording. I told her that I was not convinced the recording was complete because it was not clear and did not include me ending the call. I believe the portion of the recording with me refusing the order was edited out.

I told the lady that to send a detail invoice to me including the business name, physical street address, and telephone number, and detail listing of magazines that were being billed. She said well, the business name is Publishers Business Service. I said, OK where is it located? She replied, We are located all over. I said, Exactly where are you located? Where are you calling from now? She mumbled and when I asked her to repeat she said, Florida. She was speaking very clearly until I asked for a few simple details about the company. I asked, Where in Florida? She mumbled again, Altamonte Springs. I asked her to spell that and she said, Let me transfer you to my supervisor so she can cancel this all out for you and be done with it. I know she could hear me typing on my computer as I was searching for information about the company. The supervisor was very courteous and quickly gave me a 5-digit+1-alpha character cancelation number. I asked for her name in case someone thinks I made the number up and she gave me a name. She said that if I receive another bill or phone call, just give them this number.

Our verification Department must follow a script. The last 2 questions a verifier must ask.. 1. can you get your first payment out to us within 30 days? 2. Do you have any questions? We do 100's of tapes a day. We also have a quality control process. If we run across a verification that did not follow procedures and the customer wants there order canceled it is canceled. The percent of complaints to customers is very very low. This post is not to be combative against people that are not satisfied with there account. If we have unsatisfied customers, we as company need to make sure you are satisfied. Call or Email customer Service they will resolve your problem with your account. as the above poster did. 1-800-949-2271 email [email protected] (please give them time to respond. If you get call from another department let them know you sent a letter to Customer Service) If you have a employee that is rude to you report them to Customer Service.. we just need the date, and time of the call.
