Complaint Review: Publishers Clearing House - Ivory White - Port Washington New York

I ordered the "risk free trial" only to discover I could not use the product because I was pregnant.  I called up the next day to cancel the program.  I did not know they sent me both the trial and the program at once (don't feed me that crap that it is all in the fine print.  If you can't be upfront and honest and put that stuff in the BIG print for people - than you are a ripoff company).  I would think that if I was running a company that put both the trial and program in one package (so dumb because then people have to pay for shipping back) than I would be warning people 5 times that is what is going to happen.  Not hide it in some small fine print somewhere in the agreement...  We know today that most people do not read ALL the fine print and sometimes (like in my case) I ordered the free trial from another site sponsoring this product.  I did not even receive the product until a few days into their so called 8 day trial started...  so, basically i could not even use it before I could decide to send it back or keep it.  That is how they want to get people.  

You don't understand these complaints because you did not try to return it under their so called terms. Go to the BBB of Boulder, CO and you will see over 400 complaints against them. I am not sure if anyone has even tried the product, could be better than ice cream. The complaints are based around the time frame to return the item (10-15 days from shipping it) which in a lot of cases can not be done. Also, if you cancel right after you sign up as I did they claim the item has already been placed in shipping order and can not be stopped, I will have to return it. The really nice part is they never confirmed anything with me and shipped it to an address that is not only not mine, it is not even in my area. So I paid the $78 bucks and never got an item to use or return. Customer service was the worst ever, even worst than cell phone companies. I am to assume you are working for the company to try and put a few good words in, but it will not work. God will take care of this in the end. We the people are just trying to warn others of this company. GO TO THE BBB of Boulder and see for yourselves. It is crazy this place is still open. Also, contact your Attorney General to investigate.

To whom it may concern, I am currently a satisfied customer of Ivory White and after reading the previous testimonials about the product and the company, I just felt that it was my duty to set the record straight. I was getting my teeth cleaned at the dentist a while back and he mentioned to me that it might be in my best interest to consider getting my teeth whitened. He went over the options for me and they all seemed like good options at the time, until he told me the cost, In office whitening $980, At home whitening $435. At first I wasn't too concerned, after all most of the charges at the dentist were quite large, and I had dental insurance through my company, and with the co-pay it would probably be affordable. Then my dentist told me that since this was considered to be a cosmetic procedure that my insurance wouldn't cover the costs. Well that was deal breaker for me. I couldn't afford to spend either of those two amounts of money on teeth whitening. But considering that my dentist did bring the matter up to me, it might be in my best interest to look further at what my options actually were. So I did some research online and found Ivory White, I admit the free trial offer did sway me toward trying the product and $2.87 for shipping and handling seemed reasonable. One thing I noticed right away about the website is that right at the top of every page is a giant button that says "Easy Cancel", and when you click on it asks you for some info and then you're canceled. Seemed easy enough to me. So I signed up for the free trial. Immediately after I signed up I got a confirmation email explaining everything about what I was getting, what was expected as far as cancelation procedures and pricing of future products. At no time was I not aware that I was getting a sample and another tube of equal size that if I decided to continue after the trial that I would be charged for if I did not return it within the trial period. I don't what happened to the previous two people who commented on this subject, but in today's times why wouldn't you read the email completely, I did. As for the product itself, I couldn't be happier, it works. And I might add that it is much cheaper than the options my dentist offered. Respetfully, Ryan

After I read other ripoff reports all saying the same thing, I called Ivory White back and asked the representative who answered if she had heard of RipOffReport.com. She said she knew about it and read some of the reports, saying the same thing......they didn't read the fine print. They are knowingly ripping people off and someone should put this company out of business. Look at all the money they've made out of bilking unwary customers. You are doing an invaluable service. I will tell all my friends about your website. Thank You!
