I saw this site on MSNBC, under the header "Acai Diets Exposed" and clicked on the link.

It starts out looking like a legitimate report by a reporter and then leads you to a link to order some "free trial" samples for a shipping charges of $5.95 US.  I ordered some of these samples with my credit card.  This was approximately August 8, 2009.

On Sept 1, 2009 suddenly I received an email from Colon Cleanse thanking me for me order from August 8th!

I waited and waited, and noticed that my credit card was billed a month later Sept 8, 2009 twice for $6.71 Cdn. Then again FOUR times $6.65 x 2 and $89.36 x 2 Cdn on Sept 15, 2009.  This is when I got worried.

I called the customer service number on the bottom of their email, and was given teh biggest run around ever.  The lady did not have my order handy, she could not issue a refund, she could not give me the presidents/owner's name, she could not give me a direct line to the owner, nor the company's address or phone number.  In other words, they try to frustrate you to the point of giving up.  I tried to explain to her that I never ever received any samples to start with, and she kept saying that she will notify the refund dept.

I have tried responding with great detail to their customer service, but I keep getting the same response over and over telling me that they will cancel my subscription.  The emails are always sent by a different person.

I have now notified VISA and cancelled my credit card to their non-communication, and started a fraud investigation.  I am now trying to contact MSNBC, so that they will remove this false advertising from their website.

This is clearly a scam, no one ever gets their samples, and they purposely withhold samples past the 14 day deadline so that they can claim an expiry date passing and bill your credit card.

If anyone has ever legitimitely received samples from this company, I would really like to know the outcome.
