Purrfect Auto Service/ Blown Head Gasket ripoff liars Signal Hill California
I contacted the Purfect Auto Svc. and let them know my car had broke down and could the please get it and check it out. Immediately a Vincent (assit. manager) called me back and said the head gasket had blown.
He said it would cost about $1300.00 to $1400.00 to have fix. Said okay how long would it take he said about 2-3 days. I drop the car off on 2/14/02 and pick it up on 2/22/02.
I test drove the car around the corner & back with Vincent in the car. It seemed okay, they told me they let my car run for 1hr and it did not over heat before I got there.
I paid the $1300.00 and went about 3 miles and my car overheated temp 200, and the check engine light started flashing. I took it back to them and he tried to tell me that they did what they were supposed to do which was change the heads.
What about finding out what cause the car to overheat in the first place? Then he had the nerve to tell me that they would "try" to fix it but it was going to cost me more money. And I That's what I paid $1300.00 for and the job was not complete.
I spent $170.00 on a rent a car for that week and my car was still not ready or fixed properly. But check there company out because they try to get over on young women like myself who are by there selfs. (I am 25 years old) He also told me if I had my head gasket job done with him that he wouldn't charge me for the tow charge and thermostat that was but on to find out if it was my heads are not.
When I got the bill the tow charge & thermostat was added in the bill. They are a company that I wouldn't recommend anybody to go to!!
