January 13, 2004, I'm driving home from work when my "check-engine" light comes on. Perrfect Auto is on the way home. I pull in and am escorted to a waiting area while they are doing a diagnotics check for $35.00. I grab the manufacurer's manual before I exit the car. It suggests I check my gas cap. I get up to go out to my car but the receptionist stops me and tells me they are done with the diagnostic and I need to talk to Mgr. Debra. She concludes my emmission system needs to be flushed out for $280.00, then she informs me I need struts and she would replace them for $699.00 and include the flushing out of my emissions system for one price. Sounded good to me so I OK'ed it and went home.

I receive a call from a mechanic informing me I have four leaks, three oil, one steering fluid. He quotes me prices from $140.00 to $175.00 for each leak adding another 600.00+ to my bill. I'm not happy about the quote I ask if he had even started the struts, he said they were done. I decline any extra work. A few minutes later Debra the Mgr. calls me. She said she would fix all four leaks for $200.00 because one of her mechanics just had a baby and needed the money. I thought that sounded fair so I gave the OK. When I went to pick up my car it was up on the racks. I was met by Debra and we walked underneath it. Mgr. Debra pointed out how clean my car was and there were no leaks. I asked her "are you sure you fixed all leaks" she reassured me and even hugged me. I told her I knew I had several different fluids leaking because I had a piece of linoleum in my garage and cleaned it off after she had proposed to fix the leaks. Three days later my leaks re-appear. Not only that but my "check engine light" came on while I'm coming home from work and I check my gas cap.

Sure enough that was my only problem I had and it cost me $1,000.00 to fix it. I had new struts, which I probably needed but my four leaks were ignored even though I was charged. I don't even think they flushed out my emissions system. (how could I verify that?) I took it back time and time again and was given the run around.
