I live in east mesa, and have for 17 years. I also purchased a car from putt putt. Never again. The car seemed to run fine for the short time I had it. I normally gave my wife, now ex, the car payment to drop off on the due date as I was at work during there hours. When the third payment was due, I had forgotten to give her the payment, and realized it at work. I got off work about 2 hours early to get there before they closed. Well I still didn't make it in time. I was about 15 minutes late. The nite security guard told me he could not take the payment and that the repo list was out allready. Less than 2 hours later, my car was being driven away by a repo guy. Now as far as I know, there are 24 hours in a calander day, so technically I was not late. Over the years, I have ran into more people who had similar or worse problems with Putt Putt. Some repo's, but mostly lemons. The next one is really bad. A friend of mine had purchased a car and for a year was never late on a payment. Matter of fact she was usually early. Anyway, she ended up pregnant, and alone. Well she went into labor early and unexpectedly and yes it just so happend that it was the day before the payment was due. She had a friend call Putt Putt to let them know that she was in the hospital having a baby prematurely. Since the girl who called was the only one with my friend, she felt she should stay with her. Well when she was on the phone, she was asked by the person from Putt Putt, what hospital she was in as they would like to send over flowers as she has been a very good customer with them. Guess what. The flowers never got there. But they did go to the hospital and repo her car. No I'm not kidding. I have purchased used cars before from other car lot's. I have never ever found or heard of a car lot, new or used, that don't offer some sort of grace period. To the low life, heartless, lump of wasted space that own's the lot, and the rest of the scum that work for him. YOU WILL GET WHAT'S COMING TO YOU. ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. Your businesses are in a very small, very close community. You better be carefull. What goes around comes around. By the way, the friend I mentioned, I didn't know her at the time she purchased her car, or I would have told her not to.

Your vehicle was checked out by a mechanic at a shop called AJ Auto on merridan. The owner of Putt Putt owns that as well. The mechanic tells him what is the problem and he is told to fix it cheap and quickly basically rig it. They have been known to disconnect wires as well so the lights or gauges wont work properly.

To Jim who had some smart comments the truck. It never did steam or boil over, I first noticed the truck was starting to run rough. I wasnt looking at the gauges as there were lots of drivers cutting in and out, jack-rabbiting and slamming on breaks very fast. Then I was in the very middle of seven lanes and had to get off the edge of the road, still no steam or boil over. I waited for it to cool and checked it out an there was coolant in the oil. There had to have been foul play as there wasn't oil in the coolant when I bought it or took it for 2 or 3 mile trips for 4 days. Coolant doen't go right into the oil first unless it had been over heated previously and covered up with used oil. Hey Jim there are bad dealers out there, and the mechanic close to my house says he gets a lot of junk cars "just bought from Putt Putt" there. Thanks for being a part of the problem not the solution.

I just have a simple question...when it appeared the car was overheating, why didn't your husband stop? When a car overheats, you either stop right then and there or you blow the engine.
