I have read the comments regarding Quibids and I can only tell you that I have won several items with them and all it takes is a little common sense. First off, if you know that each bids is costing you .60 cents then don't gripe that you spent all of this money trying to win an auction. Do your research like it tells you in the Quibid tutorial and know what items are going for and the best times of day to bid for something, I won a kindle dx for 67.06 and I spent 175.00 on bids, the kindle dx was selling at amazon for 489.00 so I made a good deal but I spent several days researching it before i placed a bid and didn't go in with the idea that it was only going to take 25 bids. I have won several items and i have spents about 250.00 on bids so far but have won over 800.00 in items. Don't call a company a ripoff just because you don't know what you're doing. Does Quibids make money with this format, of course, I don't see anywhere on the site that claims it is a non profit organization. These complaints are unfounded. The nature of the site is clear and they do much more than other sites of the same type to help customers win so do some homework before you dive in and keep track of what you are spending then you might have more success. The tutorial tells you in plain english that bidding on large ticket items is risky so if you backed off on an item don't complain, that was your choice and yeah someone who did their research probably came in an bought it for a song, you gave up on the item because you didn't know what you were doing, that is not the company's fault. Everyone loves winning something at an amazing price like this guy did at first but as soon as he fails he screams ripoff.

We lose on over half our auctions. As well as you have to take into consideration how many Buy It Nows are used on each auction. It varies per auction, but we want to give our customers a safeguard. One in which they don't have to lose their money and they can still walk away with the product, just at the retail value.

Try looking around this site. I'm not the only one with a bad experience. There are blogs like this all over the Internet and they all say you're a scam. I never asked for help but you saw a way to twist it to your advantage. It has nothing to do with a bad experience, the site is a ripoff. You have an $850 Samsung BR Home System that is currently going for $94.50 on a penny bid auction. In other words you have had 9,450 bids on this one item at $0.60 a bid, you have already made $5,670.00 on an $850 item. That's not profit, that's highway robbery.

I apologize. I was only trying to help. Penny auctions are not for everyone and apparently not for you. Just contact our support and they'll be happy to close your account, as well as refund any unused bids. I'm sorry you had a bad experience.

Using my rip-off report to further your scam website is lower than snail s**t. Where I saw your site advertised is not relevant, it could have been in an online video of some sort, the fact is I saw it advertised. And the ad didn't make it sound like you should expect to pay retail. It made your site sound like a good way to get products much lower than retail, thus a scam. I've read all your rules and suggestions. I've been using the Internet since the day the WWW was started. As an IT consultant I have told my customers your site is a fraud and they should stay away. You can't refute the fact you're making a boat load of cash on most products especially the large products all you can do is tell people to read your instructions. The only thing I have to tell your support department is to close my department as soon as I receive the products I did buy so they can't be stopped as has been stated in other rip-off reports. Go use someone else's report to further your scam.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. One thing to note though - at this time, we do not advertise on TV. So I'm not quite sure what it was you saw. It sounds as if you started out in the right direction with your bidding and winning items, however, did you read the QuiBids101 section? There are many useful tips and suggestions on how to participate on our site. I believe this would have helped.
Use and go into our site expecting to pay retail. In regards to going for the larger items, we can't stress enough to utilize the Buy It Now feature. This is a guaranteed way not to lose your bids/money. If you lose an auction, choose Buy It Now and you will be able to apply all those bids to the online retail value of the product. If you did not know about this feature, you should have familiarized yourself with our site, the business model and how everything works.
We do not engage in bots or shilling bidding of any kind. We pride ourselves in being the best in our industry and in our ethical business practices. Part of our ethical business practices also covers protecting our customers' privacy, therefore not allowing people to see everything about each person's account or bidding history. If you need to speak to a support staff, feel free to contact us at [email protected].
