I am sorry to hear that this has been your impression of QuiBids. Let me provide some insight that will help you understand the value in using QuiBids. Each bid costs just $0.60. These bids are pre-paid and placed in your Bids Account. Each time you place a bid, your Bids Account is deducted one bid. Once a bid is placed the auction price will go up in one cent increments. A maximum of 20 seconds is also added to the timer every time someone bids. This gives enough time for someone else to make the decision to bid if they're interested. This is similar to the “Going once...Going twice...SOLD!” approach of traditional auctions.
If you are the top bidder when the timer reaches zero, you win! You will then pay the ending auction price as well as the cost of shipping. If you do not win, you lose your bids that have been placed; however, we offer a "Buy Now" feature on all auctions. When you use our “Buy Now” feature, we subtract the cash value of the bids you’ve placed (excluding voucher bids) from the value price of the item, and you only have to pay the difference.
Let's say you spend 30 bids trying to win a $30 valued product, but you don't win. Your 30 bids are worth $18 (30 x $0.60), so if you choose to use the "Buy Now', you would pay $12 plus shipping for the product. *Please note that this offer applies to real bids only, and that voucher bids to do not apply to the ‘Buy Now’ option. This feature limits the risk in participating in our auctions, as we offer the "Buy Now" feature on all of our auctions!
We are proud to inform you that all practices involving QuiBids are transparent and honest. Below, you may view information pertaining to our auction model:

I am a Boston attorney whose practices focused on civil litigation. I am investigating whether Quibids may have violated Massachusetts laws that prohibit deceitful trade practices, unlicensed auctions, and/or unlicensed gaming activities. J4me10, You know as well as we do that your site is nothing but a scam. You are trying to defend it with miserable results. It's gambling, pure and simple and you should be ashamed of yourself for trying to pretend it's entertainment.
From your point of view it's a GREAT deal, you cannot lose and can only make huge amounts of money while proclaiming it is a legitimate site.
I expect you will all be shutdown in time.

One never has to participate in a beginner's auction. That's up to the customer. We simply provide those as a way to get comfortable with the site and try it out.
We give a detailed explanation of our Buy it Now in our QuiBids101 that also addresses the vouchers. We advise all our customers to read through this section to get a full understanding of our site.

This is QuiBids big lie:
"you will always have the option to utilize Buy it Now and obtain the product at its retail value"
QuiBids directs BEGINNERS to participate in BEGINNERS AUCTION where you bid on or can use BUY IT NOW to purchase "voucher bids" - which actually cost MORE than "real bids" (because of the transaction fee) - and these "voucher bids" have ZERO retail value! And unlike "real bids" they dont count towards the purchase price of items you may want to buy when you lose the auction.
Keep in mind that except in rare occasions, there are many participants in the auction but only one winner - so the BUY IT NOW feature is very important. But what is the first thing QuiBids does with beginners? Sends them to an auction where the only thing they can do is lose.
Of all the beginners sent to this BEGINNERS AUCTION, in each auction there will be only one "winner" who used "real bids" to purchse worhtless "fake bids" - the "losers" can use "BUY IT NOW" if they lose, and they still lose.
There is now way to "win" or get anything with any retail value in a beginners auction, or in voucher auctions.

Products will sell at all different price ranges. It depends on the item, time of day, how many bidders there are, etc. - multiple factors go into it. Yes, each time a person bids, it costs $0.60 and the price of the item/auction will increase the respective amount. We do not use shills as it is against our policy. This is all stated on our website and in our Terms and Conditions. Keep in mind that if you lose an auction, you will always have the option to utilize Buy it Now and obtain the product at its retail value.
QuiBids is not for everyone. It is simply ran on a different business model. We are unlike eBay in another area - we have a truly unique entertainment factor to our model. I'm sorry to hear about your negative experience, but should you have any questions, please contact our support.

...think about it for a second...what is the business model of this auction gambling scam site??
If any items sold below what they pay for it...they would not last very long now..would they?
So, lets determine the motive..and what is in this websites best interests??
If members bid and LOSE.....do they make money? Yes. If members bid more and more..does the website make more and more? Answer: YES. On a LEGITIMATE auction website such as eBay..does anyone who does not win an auction pay a dime? ANSWER: NO
So..does it not stand to reason that it is in this scam gambling fake auction websites best interest for you to LOSE? ANSWER: YES. Does it stand to reason that this is NOT a legitimate "auction" site? ANSWER: YES..and is it a smart way to shop for a good deal? ANSWER: You decide based on the evidence.
So, if you can come to terms with this simple reality... the ball is now in your court...SERVE!
