R Sun Tanning - Health And Sun Research Ripped off my salon also, BUT after much work did get my moneyback Oldsmar Florida
R Sun scammed me also, the same way. Fake client (bride,Gina)claiming to want to tan with our salon. Her and her 8 bridesmaids. Asked if I would order expensive tanning lotion for them (8 bottles).
I called R Sun talked to the sales clerk she had talked to (Jen ex:006)who told me there was a 10 bottle min to order and if I ordered 10 you got more cheap.
I explained that in my area I could not reail such expensive lotion so I would call her right back I wanted to get the brides credit card number to ensure the sale . She assured me it was not nessary that they had a 30 day return policy. So I went ahead and ordered,called the bride back she said great we'll be in to tan.
Needless to say that was the last I heard from her. When trying to return the lotion Jen told me I had to talk to customer service. After 3 days of trying to get a hold of customer service, He (David ) then told me he would not credit back my credit card and Icould not return the lotion.
I and friends then found out that the brides cell area code was Tarpon Springs Fl.
I then had to cancil my credit card,go to my bank and file a dispute with my credit card company then filed a rport with my police department.
I took one of the other rip off reports with me. The police officer was very helpful calling the brides cell which her boyfriend answered. Then he called R Sun's customer service man David ,who was still saying there were no laws broken,But was then willing to talk to me.
I called him back he wouldnt talk to me but they were now willing to refund my card and send ups to pick up the lotion. Which they did.
I did get my money back,from my credit card company not from R Sun!!
The Police Officer advised me to e-mail the Florida Attorney General, Which I have done. I hope this might help the others who got scammed. Iam also going to get on line to the Pinellas County Sheriff's dep to file a complaint. I am also going to write Donna Carollo V.P. of Health and Sun Research.
