At the end of April 2012, I purchase a sofa, loveseat, and mattress set totaling $1100+ tax, I could not get credit from Ashley Furniture so I went sent to the back room to RAC acceptance. The rep explained the contract saying if I paid more each month it would be paid off sooner or I could pay it off at anytime, and the only extra fees I would pay was $24 a month for using RAC. In September of 2012 I called and asked who much was the pay off, I was told $1100. In March of 2013 I called and asked for pay off amount and was told $800,
on September 14, 2013 I called and was told my pay off was $972 +. What the heck is really going on. I have made 15 payments totalling over $2200 dollars. I have more than paid for the furniture and insurance which I've never used. I had stains on the furniture when I purchased and Ashley sent a man out to "CLEAN" it, apparently he put some kind of paint or something on it, which eventually wore off, and those same stains are visible once again. What kind of CEO would run a business to scam people out of their hard earned money. In the end I will have paid these people over $4000 for furniture that isn't even worth $600. This is a SCAM. Do NOT use RAC ACCEPTANCE.

There's no excuse for a company charging 300% interest for a purchase and lying telling the customer that I will only pay $24 a month to use RAC, if that was the case then my $149.45 pyament a month for 18 months is $2690.10. If you subtract the $24 a month for 18 months, thats $432. That means I've paid $2200+ for furniture that originally only cost $1100+taxes. their telling me I have to pay 13 more months at $149.45 a month or pay one payment of $900+. Either way I will have paid for this furniture 3 or 4 times over. This company should be investigated by the government
