Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
On 7/14/06 I ordered a diecast race car from the website race-depot.com. The original diecast I ordered was not filled due to unavailability. While I did understand their policy for preorders, which states they are not responsible for delays, the delays in this case are extreme. Furthermore, they continually fail to contact the consumer with updates, oversell their products which obviously result in unfilled orders, and offer products in place of ordered products that also fail to be fulfilled. I was only advised of my orders unavailabilty after several attempts to contact this company via phone and email.

On 5/17/07, instead of a refund I accepted an offer to take a different diecast in its place. On 10/17/07 I was given the same excuse with the replacement diecast and have not recieved anything for my money to date. I have since tried to contact this company via email on several occasions and have recieved no reply. All contact phone numbers have been removed from the website. Instead of placing customers who failed to recieve there first preordered products at the top of the replacement products preorder list, customers are continually fed through the same cycle, never recieving any products for their money.

Interestingly enough products are charged to the consumers credit card in full once an order is placed, even though the product may never be delivered. I believe 18 months an unacceptable amount of time to recieve a product and customer service is lacking or non existant. Over the past several months I have tried numerous additional emails, written letters, filed a Better Business Bureau complaint, and received one email contact back through their website asking me what I wanted to do. They also stated that there lack of contact was due to their spam filter.

Since that contact I have again tried all modes of contact with no result, and interestingly enough I had told them what I wanted in my initial email, but lie, steal, stall, and deny are how this company operates. I am considering contacting the local police, a local news agency, and NASCAR (because they have been a sponsor in NASCAR) to bring this company to light. I can only say DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE, THEY ARE A SCAM AND WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY!! They messed with the wrong person because I am not going away.

After two years I finally received a diecast from Race-Depot.com. This was the third different car I was promised but I am happy just to be compensated. I URGE EVERYONE TO FILE A REPORT ONLINE WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND THE INTERNET CRIME COMPLAINT CENTER IC3!!! Also keep emailing them everyday. Pressure is your only option. They want you to give up so they can steal your money. Don't let them do it. www.bbb.org http://www.ic3.gov/

I am still trying to get a diecast for the money I spent with this company. Since I filed a complaint with the Internet Crime Complaint Center they have started answering my emails and are stating a car is in the mail....although I don't believe them. I URGE EVERYONE WITH AN ISSUE WITH RACE-DEPOT.COM TO GO HERE http://www.ic3.gov/ AND FILE A COMPLAINT. Also If you haven't done so go to the Better Business Bureau website at http://welcome.bbb.org/ and file a complaint. Its your only chance.
