Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I was at the Buskerfest in Toronto Downtown with my girlfriend. There was a contest for a "FREE" Trip to the Bahamas. I filled out a form and a couple weeks later I received a call from Eileen who worked for RAMADA PLAZA RESORT ORLANDO FORT LAUDERDALE VACATIONS. In short they offered a "promotion" I had to pay $698.00 US. I gave them my credit card #. Stupid of me.

Moments after I went online and tried to do some research. I was shocked when I found this site with nearly 200 complaints from the very same company! I've read quite a few of them and noticed that some people got a full refund back, and some didn't.

I'm here to tell you that I DID get a full refund. Here's how I did it.

1)The sooner you call them back the better. RPR 1-800-203-9783

2)Stay calm and be persistent. Remember, they will give in, just don't give up! Keep saying no to their alternative offers!!(They will do that)

3)Come up with at least 3 good reasons why you want to cancel.

Some of my reasons were

-I'm only a student no money. Financially can't afford such a trip

-I have a major student loan

-parents don't have good jobs

-I was pressured into saying yes, now that I've thought it though I made a mistake

-please sympathize and understand my case. I wasn't thining properly

-I have bills to pay

4)Use their trick against them. Don't stop talking. Keep pleading your case and reasons but stay calm and serious. Don't loose your temper.

5)Keep repeating your reasons, be firm, and DON'T GIVE UP!

Keep saying no, you just want your money back!

6)If worse comes to worse, tell them that in Ontario, by law, it states that you have 10 business days to receive a full refund of any merchandise sold to you by telemarketers or over the phone.

If you're from the states, just do some quick research. In Florida state I believe you guys have 30 days.

7)If worse comes to worse, call your creditcard company, they're on your side. Tell them your situation.

The trip is bogus, if you read some complaints on this site you'll see that it is a major rip off, where the car is a piece of crap and you ahve to spend money to upgrade it. You must attend mandatory seminars or you won't receive your prize package. And there are untold administration fees and such. MAJOR RIP OFF!! Remember, nothing good in life ever comes free nor easy.

I am pleased to say the least about the way information is disseminated in this Country. After several hour, of agitation and intuitive discomfort about the cheap $698 (which was later reduced by $200) vacaion package from Ramada, my fear was re-affimed when i stumbled on this website and found out about dissatisfied customers complain and tips on how you can get your money back. I called and used all the tips. I told the Rep. that my friend took a vacation with them and he told me never to try one with them. All of a suden he became defensive and ask for my friend's number, so he could pull the information up that he knows that i got all the info on the internet. I told him it does not matter where the info comes from and giving him my friends # is an act that violates the privacy of my friend. He said i am a liar and he said he is sorry that the deal is non refundable. I remained persistent and they eventually refunded my money. I am still looking for a reasonable vacation to take my would-be wife on honey moon.I know that over a hundred people could not be wrong. I am happy i got my money back. If you want a decent vacation, be ready to pay handsomely. Be aware that some of the people that never got their money back are now selling the vacation on Ebay now under false pretences. Lastly, let the ramada people know that they can go too far either in life or business. Why don't you spend a little more, be honest to customers and tou will have their loyalty in business.
