This package is truly a rip-off. Ramada Plaza Resort, Ft. Lauderdale is a truly disgusting hotel. Dirty, and rooms have cockroaches. Big ones! Rooms in disrepair, bathrooms old and rusty, rooms smell as do hallways. Elevators don't work. Do not purchase this package or stay in this hotel. It is vile! Staff is oblivious and does not care. Food is tasteless and disgusting. Drinks all tasted so bad. Water was yellow in hotel. My daughter got violently ill and had to be rushed to local hospital. Spent the night there which was almost a relief, not to be in that gross, smelly hotel. Pool area is not as advertised. Bugs attacked us and the bar was grimy and poorly stocked. Elevators broken.
As far as the cruise, it was an old, ugly, small ship. Food was not good, staff not friendly as advertised, no pampering of guests, as advertisd, buffet small with not much variety, food as cheaply done as possible. I was grossed out the whole time. You have to pay for EVERYTHING, EVEN WATER. Cabins were small and dark, not bright and airy as shown. The Las vegas style entertainment that is shown on DVD and advertised-does not exist. A couple of bands played, which were terrible, I am a musician, so I can tell the difference. I had paid for an upgrade and was very dissapointed. Was told the upgrade would get me an outside cabin with view. Nope! No ammenities at all, only warm, flat soda in cans sitting there for days. No soap, had to buy in overpriced gift shop. Do not purchase this package, it is a rip-off all around. I can't imagine anyone being satisfied with anything about this trip. It was embarrasing to tell anyone what ship we were on. My daughter and her friend are traumatized now by cockroaches and I'm embarrassed to have subjected them to this entire experience.
