Ramada Plaza Resorts ignorant, deceptive, dirty, overpriced, uneducated, shallow, unfriendly, slow processing, mistreated and lied to Fort Lauderdale Florida
The first two nights in Ft. Lauderdale we stayed in a hotel that had an extremely ignorant staff that was unwilling to help any of their clients. A room that had dirty sheets on the bed, a hole in the wall with a television that did not work. One of the elevators was broken for two days and our floor contained only one pop machine in the hallway that was also broken.
The hotel contained one pool that was dirty and unsanitary. The hotel was a twenty minute drive from Ft. Lauderdales Beach, which according to the hotel staff the beach was within walking distance. We paid $200 a night for this hotel and more than one of the hotel employees verified the actual amount of the hotel was $80 a night.
I called three times to verify that the required resort tours would only be 30 minutes long. However, when I arrived in Ft. Lauderdale to book our tour we were then told it would be 90 minutes long. The tour guide told us that it was impossible to do the tour under 3 hours and we spent 5 hours at the resort doing the tour.
We were informed that the cruise ship was top of the line and it was a disgrace. The Ocean Breeze cruise ship needs serious repairs on the decks and the pool was the size of the jacuzzi. Also, most of the facilities on the top deck were unavailable for use.
The employees at the Welcome Centers were very rude and uninformative. Several times at the Welcome Centers in Orlando and in Ft. Lauderdale when we asked for directions or for help we were mistreated and belittled.
I feel that this company should be shut down because their a fraud and are thieves. The $1,400.00 that we paid to commit to this horrible trip ended up being close to $3,500.00 after paying the hidden costs and other expenses not included for the trip. I wouldn't recommend this trip to anyone and I'm never staying in another Ramada again. This trip was more of a hassle than anything and I want all of my money back from this company.
I would appreciate prompt attention to this matter and I'm prepared to take further action if necessary.
