My wife recieved a call today while I was at work from an employee for Ramada Plaza Resorts by the name of Jeremy.

You see in back in August of 2004 I was naive enough to think the $1000.00 vacation package they sold me was a sweet deal. I paid $498.00 initially and then $498.00 two years later. Well,due to unexpected life, we never got around to taking advantage of the vacation. My bad! I'm out a grand.

This is where Jeremy comes in. He tells my wife on the phone and says we owe $1796.00 for our package and we need to pay immediataly or we will lose the $996.00 we have already paid. My wife says she doesn't want to lose the money we have paid but says she needs to talk to me first. Then Jeremy says he might be able to knock off $200.00 but my wife doesn't give in, then Jeremy says he can bring the price down to $898.00 but my wife holds firm.

Keep in mind that our trip has already been paid in full. But it has expired. Like I said , my bad. I've written it off. But now is where it gets better.

My wife calls me at work on her cell and says she has Ramada on the phone and they want $898.00. She is now talking to a very mean and rude person who is named Maureen. She is one of the managers at Ramada. Maureen is putting the squeeze on my wife pretty hard. I tell my wife I'm not going to pay no $898.00 bill and to forget it. Maureen is very persistant and wants to conferance me in the call. I say OK! Now I'm talking to Maureen.

She says we owe $898.00 and I have to pay immediataly or I will lose my Vacation. I say no thanks! Then Maureen says if I DON'T PAY IMMEDIATALY my account will be sent to collections and even if I did pay it I would not be entitled to the vacation Package.

Now I am going to try and get my refund. I was willing to let it go before but now after being treated like this I'm quite peeved if you know what I mean. I never dealt with a company who treats its customers like this. I will keep updating my situation as it carries foward.
