John Barada at Rapid Transport/ Transport Rapid accepted an LTL load on 6/10/14 to pick up in Etobicoke, Ontario on 6/11/14, and deliver to Glendale, Az. After load was complete, he demanded "quickpay" and since nothing was amiss at the time it was granted and check was sent. While the payment check was en route to John , our customer began getting calls for payment from FGM truck lines as it turns out, John and double brokered this load to them without our knowledge, much less permission. Payment was stopped on the check and John was informed to pay the carrier and once that occurred we'd pay him. He declined that arrangement and proceeded to call our credit references, bank, customers, etc. making fraudulent claims regarding us. He also made physical threats over the phone. As of right now we're simply apologizing to our customers and references for this deceitful nutcase, and are in the beginning stages of attempting to make sure he becomes unable to do this again. I had noticed Quality Logistics' post here regarding same company as well.
