Bought new Safari with 36 items broken, not working, cracked. made two trips to Harrisburg, Oregon to the factory for repairs. Dealer would not cover the 3600 miles in trip expenses.

sales manager threatened me with bodily harm saying and I quote" If you lived closer I would personaly come over to your place a -uck you up". that was my last conversation with the sales manager.

Note the owners son handled this deal and would not return my calls his name is " Blake Citte"......

These guys are car dealers that sell motorhomes and now do not sell Safar Coaches........

"as is" eBay auction $100.00 starting bid no reserve

Mr. Clay Purchased a 36' Safari Diesel Pusher on an as is eBay auction which started at $100.00 with no reserve. Mr. Clay's final price was more than $80,000 below retail and substantially below invoice. Mr. Clay purchased the motorcoach sight unseen and declined to do a walk around before completing the transaction. All of Mr. Clay's issues were covered by warranty and could have been repaired at his local safari dealer. Costs above and beyond what is covered by factory warranty such as; gas, mileage and hotel are the soul responsibility of the purchaser. Mr. Clay chose to have his repairs completed at the factory in Oregon, albeit all of Mr. Clay's repairs could have been completed at any Safari dealer in a professional and timely manner. I kept in constant contact with Mr. Clay for months up until I took a new job, at which point he was assigned another sales associate. Ray Citte Inc. is a full service RV dealership with numerous customer satisfaction awards from multiple brands. Through the dealerships eBay website I have sold multiple motorcoaches, automobiles, recreational vehicles and maintained a 100% satisfaction feedback.

I really hope you get your money's worth out of your RV....

I looked at RV's 3 years ago, and I simply could not see any way to amortize the investment. RV maintanence costs, cost of RV parking spots, depreciation, lost interest and investment returns, and...Whoa! [And a non-powered RV trailer would need a 1-ton dualie diesel for towing....] I presently get 4.5% from my local bank (its a checking account) for our uncomitted money, and 4.5% of 150K is $6,750. This would pay for 68 days stay in motels at $100/day [net of RV parking cost] before I ever began to amortize the $150K 'principal'. I saw many RV places that were like KOA and they were all a sardines-in-a-can turnoff. Good (or Better?) luck with your RV.
