RAYMOND S GRIMM ESQ THE GRIMM REAPER STRIKES AGAIN! North Port Florida
The original grimm reaper report is factual and happened to me! I retained Raymond Grimm a year ago for a custody issue. Ray would not present a contract stating a handshake was all that was needed. I am a widow on a limited income...a fact Ray was well aware of when he took the case. he asked for $3000.00 upfront and informed me i could make monthly payments there after. within two months,Ray demanded another $2500.00 though the only thing he had done at this point was file the court papers.
RAY QUOTED $450.00 FOR A DEPO,THEN SENT US A BILL OVER $5000.00 FOR REVIEWING IT. At this time, we were well into five months of the case...the filing of the court papers and the depo...nothing else has been done on this case. We received a bill for well over $10.000 listing all the phone calls and emails and alot of made up...padded bill! When we left messages for Ray to call us back...he ignored us. then sent me an email stating "i will talk to my client as i see fit and if you interfer i will withdraw as counsel! He was now talking about my son as his client because i questioned his ethics.
Now i make my monthly payment to Ray and he calls my son and states "this is just a drop in the bucket". then proceeds to fire us as clients....AFTER we hired a social investigator at Ray's request...(he quoted us $3000.00 when the cost was $7000.00) so now we are finally getting close to actually have something done on this case and raymond grimm fires us...keeping my money of course though he only filed the court papers and did the depo!!! He did not care that a child was hanging in the balance! Ray only cares about how much money he can steal from his clients!
We were lucky to find a great attorney who is charging us a flat fee of $1500.00 to do what Ray could not do. Yes the court papers are filed and the depo done...but that is not $10.000 worth of work!
