RCN And Others Like over pricing and bad judgement of service Herndon Virginia
I had recently called RCN about a matter concerning my past due bill and changing calling options. First, I would like to know how this company and others like it can charge you for services you do not want or need. In order for phone service you must take their total phone package. Grant it yes, if you don't want you don't take if you really don't want a phone. What happened to a flat phone rate and only charged for options you select? How is it allowed that companies can do this? Is there any company out there yet that does not take advantage of their customers? If so, someone please let me know who.
Second, a matter of past due bill. Understandably, no one's fault but my own. My service was limited to only being able to receive calls. I had called to ask if service could be reversed. Apparently, it is felt by RCN that it is more important to receive telemarketing calls than it is to be able to make an emerency call when my son has to be rushed to hospital. Yes, instead of limited service it could have been shut off completely and would have been in same situation. But, when allowed to have a limited service, in order for your bill to continue to rise, is that really the right judgement call?
