 In July of 2015 I was very disappointed with RCNs service and fuzzy math when it comes to billing so I discontinued my service with them I then received a call requesting the return of equipment soon there after the middle of August to be exact an alleged RCN serviceman showed up at my door requesting said equipment I turned it over to him he said it would be taken off my final bill once logged in I asked if I needed to sign anything and he once again it was all listed and the equipment would be accounted for have a nice day. Well a few weeks pasted and I received a robo call requesting equipment returnal will I chalked it up to topical snafu with the company. I then received a letter a few weeks after that from a collection agency asking for 900.00 plus 520.00 of that was for equipment I had already returned as I knew it and the remainder was from RCNs fuzzy math for a month and a half of so called service you know the month in advance they charge . So I called once again explaining I had turned over the equipment and was concerned about the letter and robo calls I was told once the equipment is input in the system all would be cleared I thanked the RCN rep and thought nothing more about it until the next call I then called RCN and explained once again and was told I would receive a call back I waited almost two weeks and called back this morning spending over 30 minutes trying to clear this matter but RCNs position was we DONT care what you say you owe RCN it doesn't matter if one of our current or former employees collected your equipment if its not in our warehouse pay us but if we owe you we give you a song and a dance and screw you . I called RCN to report my concerns and stay ahead of this thing and I was told we are not changing nothing if its not in the system pay us . I would suggest to all that read this post not because of my bad experience and issue with RCN but in general to read and question everything RCN offers and states and to end your relationship with them as quickly as possible before you too end up as a victim . They are very quick to deny any wrongdoing and say I apologize to the point it becomes annoying.
