R&D Enterprises - Www.speedapparel.com ripoff - I ordered Nascar apparel from this company, paid by credit card and never received the merchandise fraudulent ripoff business Long Beach California
I ordered a Nascar jacket from www.speedapparel.com. I paid $125 for the jacket with a Discover card which was then paid through PayPal. This was a pre-order so I waited for approximately 1 month before inquiring as to the status of the order. I received an e-mail stating the jackets were expected approximately March 21, 2003.
When the jacket did not arrive, I called and e-mailed the company many times and did not received a reply. I contacted the BBB but the company did not reply to them either. Discover Card was not willing to help as payment had been made through a third party, PayPal. PayPal would not help because the transaction had taken place more that 30 days prior. All I can conclude is that speedapparel AKA R&D Enterprises is a scam. Their web site was down for a long period of time, but I see it is back up and running now, just waiting to scam more customers.
