Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I attended an information session on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at the Embassy Suites in Centennial, CO.  The presentation was very high energy (the presenter almost yelled the entire two hours) and very high pressure.  The presenter stated and implied that the only way you could fail to eliminate your debt was to fail to follow the instructions of the "coaches", whose expertise you were buying.

After the meeting there were several assistants to the presenter who herded attendees at the back of the room to pressure them to sign contracts for the debt elimination services.  Unfortunately, even though I had seen other high pressure sales presentations like this, I succumbed to pressure from the presenter himself to sign the contract.

After spending a sleepless night, I read the fine print on the back of the contract I signed.  It basically relieved the Real Talk Network, Inc. of ANY responsibility to succeed in helping me eliminate my debt and stated that the participant (me) "has been duly avised (sic) to seek the advice of their own legal counsel as to the nature and purpose of this document and as to whether or not to sign and/or enter the same."  No one was advised (at least I can spell it) to do anything like that.  To the contrary, the presentation never mentioned or described or distributed the contract we were all asked to sign immediately thereafter.

Realizing that their presentation and contract were at odds, I called their office as soon as they opened the next morning.  I was given the run around from the receptionist to customer service to accounting and back to the receptionist and at each stop I stated my request to cancel the contract and have my $3,497 returned since I had received no services and nothing of value (except a CD which I never opened and a cheap folder devoid of anything else) and which I returned to their office at 1:45 p.m. that afternoon.

The answer was the same from all--that all sales were final (which was stated on the contract) and that there was no recourse.  The receptionist basically hung up on me when I mentioned seeing them in court.

I immediately filed a complaint with the BBB and am filing one with the Colorado Attorney General's office this week.  I am disputing the charge on my credit card.  I will also file with the Consumer Protection authorities of the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies, and, being retired, I may attend subsequent presentations by this outfit to offer my warnings to unwary souls like me.

Run from this corporation.
