My husband and I became victims of the RealtyTrade scam, just as others have. Hopefully, this can lead to the recovery of our $899 that we paid to them, and keep people from stepping into their trap.

We were contacted with an offer to market our timeshare, and the guarantee we received from Jeff Hall, the "sales executive" who talked with me on the phone made it all sound too good to be true - and of course, it was.

All of the information I was given about their approach to marketing our timeshare and contacting us with interested buyers was just so much bull. I was sent three emails with the names of so called interested people. The first and third people I emailed never even replied and the second person responded with the following statement:

Dear Sixxxxxxx,

My husband and I are not looking for timeshares as I told the gentleman who called us. I'm sorry for any trouble this may have caused. Thank you,

C. Wxxxx

I contacted the BBB in Orlando, they contacted Realtytrade. I also emailed Tim Harrison, Operations Manager at Realtytrade, he called me saying they were going to do more work on the marketing of my property. I listened to him, but never made any remark about being OK with his plan. The BBB mailed me a copy of a letter from Mr. Harrison stating that I was satisfied with this plan.

I replied to the correspondence the BBB sent me, telling them that I was not satisfied with this offer. I also contacted Mr. Harrison by email telling him that unlike what he stated in his letter to the BBB, I was NOT satisfied with the way they were handling the sale of my timeshare.

He contacted me by phone again within five minutes, with another promise to find out why my timeshare had not been marketed the way it should have been. He also wanted me to send all the emails concerning the "offers" that were sent to me. And most recently, I received an email from him with an offer for "an opportunity to receive more offers of clients interested in purchasing your property" from Mr. Harrison. Receive MORE offers? I never received the first legitimate offer.

At this point, all I want is my money back. I want to forget I ever heard of these people. I sincerely hope that this can be concluded soon.

Sat, September 05, 2009

We strive for 100% client satisfaction.  If you are not 100% satisfied, please email <<[email protected]>> to speak with a dedicated customer service representative.  All complaints will be handled professionally and quickly.  By filing reports with this site and other similar sites, as well as the Attorney General, it minimizes the chances that you will receive 100% of your money back, due to the use of additional resources to settle a claim.

The details of our refund policy are outlined in the Realty Trade Marketing and Advertising agreement, that we have our clients sign. It is NOT a guarantee to SELL the property, but rather a guarantee to generate offers and interest on your property. There are instances and circumstances that occur in which we are unable to generate an offer for a property due to market saturation or presenting a property that does not create interest on our network.  If this happens with your property, please contact us at this email address: <<[email protected]>> and we will address your concerns properly and issue a refund according to the terms and conditions of the marketing agreement.

With over 18,000 clients, there are occasional issues that may arise, as with any large organization, but we do everything within our power to satisfy all clients.

Again, please email <<[email protected]>> with your grievance and addressed professionally and quickly.

Thank you for your cooperation.
