Reeves trucking of gardner, ks is a major rip off for its employees.  The owner of this company has no experience nor any business being in business do to their lack of experience in the trucking industry.  Two drivers hired on with this company after promised a certain level of pay under a 1099. However that promise turned out to be false among many other things.  The owner is also very disrespectful and unprofessional to his drivers and lies to the drivers just to keep a truck moving.  I have heard many times of this company pushing drivers over the logbooks and not paying drivers at all if they do not reach 3000 paid miles a week. I have seen the settlement sheets to most of their trucks and they are cheating their drivers pay by $500 or more a week.  I have been in business for over 10 years and I wouldn't think of treating any of my employees the way reeves treats theirs. Reeves trucking will pretend to be all about the drivers until someone catches them in a lie, then they fire you hoping they don't get caught.  From what I had experienced,  I beleive that the owner is unexperienced and under educated to be running any type of business what so ever.. So if your reading this article,  stay clear of this company by all means and never do business with this company.

I have been in the industry for over 15 yrs I hired in these to drivers giving them a shot one had quite a history of jumping jobs he claimed with each that they never paid what they agreed on so he moved on he had a buddy who also needed a job so i gave them both a shot neither had the best experience but had they worked they would have earned the breakdown of pay is very simple and notation of job was clear 3000 miles a week was expected of the driver driver pay and fuel is figured on 62% of gross so on a low end gross of $4700 the 62% is $2914 if driver slows down and gets good fuel they make more at 6mpg fuel economy buying $4 per gallon fuel is 500 gallons fuel bought and that makes $2000 fuel purchased leaves the driver $914 better than $.30 cpm if driver gets 7mpg closer to a $1200 paycheck and $.40cpm I have several drivers averaging $.40-.50 cpm and some getting less but everyone that gets their miles has good average both these drivers idled their trucks to much cutting the average and only averaged 1800-2000 miles a week by their choice knowing that i expected more they sat in truck stops 2-3 days at a time sleeping not contacting dispatchers that were calling trying to get ahold of them Dean Church sat in a truck stop for 4 days in effingham Illinois while 2 of my other drivers went from Wichita ks to Indianapolis and back twice because he saw ice in the parking lot he does not listen and won't work or answer the phone till he has coffee his buddy Josh Bircher was just as lazy if not more trying to demand money not earned he averaged 1500-1800 a week he sat in a truck stop 2 days then drives 540 miles and sleeps 2 more days and doesnt answer the phone I provided xm radio and cell phones i paid for also I made drivers responsible for the excess fuel Tony spent home time in Houston and would deadhead 250 miles home and no I am buying extra fuel for idle and 250 mile detours home especially when driver did nit get their miles I would not hire or recommend either of these 2 drivers to anyone unless they want to go bankrupt they both thought that they were screwed and both averaged over $.32 cpm for paid miles driven even though i lost money having both of them work for me I took many phone calls from angry dispatchers complaining about both drivers and how they were lazy and never wanted to work one is working for another owner operator at the same place and one of my drivers heard dispatch tell the other that he was in the lot asleep in his truck and they said heck with him they beat on his truck door for 45minutes and he still wouldnt get up I provided both drivers with their settlements when we parted explaining and showing they weren't screwed and also they wanted to buy a truck I said that I wouldn't recommend that they would go broke fast in 10 weeks they drove for me I was upside down over 10,000 because they didn't work I am better off without having them
