I purchased a used motorhome from Register Chevrolet and RV Sales. The ad in "RV Trader" to which I responded was printed "6 new tires". This was a totally fraudulent claim, the tires were from 3 to 9 years old. Sadly, I had taken this statement into account when I bought the vehicle, mistakenly crediting this claim as being worth about $1000. or more.
.
There were additional false claims, to wit: "Newer Norcold refrigerator, totally serviced". The refrigerator was the original that came from the Manufacturer of the vehicle when built, the black water tank contained fecal material and tissue. If only I had known this when the RV was on the dealer's lot!
.
My only real issue is with the tires, on which the dealer refuses to acknowledge what was promised in the RV Trader ad.
.
Screwed by a new car dealer. Register Chevrolet. Some things never change. "Get it in writing"? Of no value when dealing with a car dealer.

The subject motorhome had virtually NO wear on the tires. I couldn't read the date codes on the INSIDE sidewalls. The tires as far as tread depth were nearly 12/32" all around. They were all slicked up to look new. Virtually full tread.
.
I did check out the vehicle. The tires "looked good". Had I had a clue as to how deceptive this dealer turned out in the advertising, I would've had the wheels removed on the real duals and checked the sidewalls that were visible under the vehicle. Pretty hard to view the inside sidewalls on the lot.
.
Little did I know the motorhome had been driven only a couple thousand miles in the last 8 years. It did check out OK mechanically. FYI, "Jim", I am a retired ASE all area qualified mechanic. Lots of "common sense', and distrust of car dealers. This one got me however.

Did you even bother to check this thing out BEFORE you bought it? Six new tires don't look like six old tires! RIPOFF HERE -- Probable ripoff here but complainer failed to use common sense by checking over the vehicle first!
