Reliable Appliance Service, Inc aka Reliable Service Company B******* stole my money by lying, cheating and conning a service that they do not provide. El Cajon California
On 7-11-14 I called for A/C repair. I told them when I called I needed a new fan switch. I was charged 49.95 for a service fee for them to come out, give me an estimate and if service was performed the 49.95 would be included in the cost. The Tech came out looked at my A/C unit and said I needed a fan switch which I had already told him I needed when called.
I asked how much would it be to replace it. He told me he didn't have the part on the truck, but would call me tomorrow (7-12-14) with the estimate. I waited all day, no response, so I called back on 7-12-14 for estimate and to schedule the repair and was told they would get back to me that the tech was still on truck. I called 7-13-14 (3 times) throughout the day and no response.
Finally called a 4th time and begged and was told they would get in touch with my tech and have him call me back. An hour later, he called with an angry tone and said to replace the fan switch would be 139.00. I said that price was fine and he started to hang up and I rushed to say hey wait and asked to set up the appointment for him to come in and fix it and that the 49.95 I had already paid was to be included in the 139.00 as advertised. He said in an angry tone, he would come between 9:00 am and 10:00 am on 7-14-14.
I tried to verify what he said, but he cut me off on the phone. On 7-14-14, I waited until 12:00pm and no response. I called and got no response. These bastards just took my money for a service fee and would not give me an estimate for repair until I practically begged and harassed and when I did get an estimate had to beg and harass to get an appointment to get the part fixed and then they never showed up.
They are running a con. They come to your home, charge a non refundable service fee and claim they will give you an estimate and if you agree to the estimate and repair is done, your service fee will go toward the repair.
But they just charge the service fee then claim they do not have the parts on hand and will have to call you back with an estimate, but never ever call back.
