Renaissance LA ripoff dishonest misrepresented rude abusive Los Angeles ca
I ordered a sofa based on the ones I saw & sat in at the store. I ordered & paid in full on 1/17/05 & was told app. 4 weeks to delivery. 4 weeks nothing, six weeks nothing. My calls went unreturned until....
March when RICK called & said they were delivering my sofa, we set day & time. The day of he calls & no sofa was made ever & now he had excuses that they had to change the arm style --- they just took my money & forgot & probably lost the original order. he promised the sofa in a week.... no sofa in a week or even a month.
I went in to the store & a woman was there heard my story & said how awful & she gave me 2 free candles & said most likely they would give me the pillow shams I had ordered at the same time for free & she would reoder them that day. No pillow shams ever got to me. Just broken promises.
After many unanswered calls & broken delivery dates I finally got the sofa in May 2005 after Renaissance has had my $1235 for 5 months while I had nothing but excuses which now were clearly lies & promises that they never intended to keep.
I went to the store with the cushions to complain, RICK again had justification & excuses & asked me to try living with it a bit to break it in, meanwhile he would check on the cost of getting half down-fill for the cushion as originally represented, along with a price for an ottoman I wanted & he said he'd take a few hundred off the ottoman & I said what if I don't want to buy more furniture from him & he said he'd credit the money back to my card. Again a week goes by & no follow thru.
Now I call back (rarely is anyone there to answer the phone) left an upset message saying I do not want any further dealings with him & just credit the money back to my card. No call back. Called again & said I will picket him & report him if he does not resolve this.
He called back telling me he was tired of me leaving messages & I was a looser.... funny how I can buy his goods, which he failed to deliver & substituted inferior product & I'm the looser. Yes do business with Renaissance & you too are a looser.
