i am writing to complain about the rent-a-center located in carrboro on jones ferry road. my husband has been a customer of theirs for a long time. and things were fine in the begining, but now it seems as if they seem to be trying to pull a fast one on him.

first we had them remove our refrigirator last year because it has been leaking water for the longest. when they finally returned it, it was fine for a while then started doing the same thing a couple of months later.

we had the frig taken out again last year and when they brought it back (rent-a-center) it was damaged and the shelf inside was broken. they were suppose to replace it because my husband has insurance on the item, but they keep giving him the run around. 

we had them come and get our washing machine which we purchased from them because the door was leaking. they had it for over two months. when they brought that back it was the same thing. we had purchased a sectional from them and they ended up coming to get it because we were behind in payments.

my husband caught up and was paying on it while it was still in the store. everytime we asked when they were bringing it back we got a different day. finally we were told one of their employees had sold our sectional set. 

it got sold while my husband was paying on it in the store! it was never replaced and he was never given a store credit either. now the frig has gone bad again and they are suppose to come get it on Monday. they had told my husband the last time they came and got it, that if it did it again they would replace it. now they're telling him he has to be up to date with at least five payments before they replace our frig. 

but in the meantime we have lost food twice and all the manager of rent-a-center could tell us was they were sorry about that. we have children and grandchildren  that we feed as well as our selves. we are on a fixed income and losing that food hurt us really badly. and to just be told, we're sorry wasn't enough!

i feel they (rent-a-center) should replace our frig, and washing machine, and our food.
