yes i rented a playstaion2 from rent a center, and when i went and made my first payment the told me about thing cal rac benefits. it would b 4 dollars added on my bill every week, and that the benefits would help at the docotrs office, etc.,but the one benefit was if u lost your job then they work out an agreement to help you.

i signed for the benefits and paid over 400 dollars towards my agreement when i was laid off from work. Seeing that i had bought into the this, after being laid off they told me that they dont care about my lost and they wanted payment, and i said i thought i was covered from being laid off. they said it did not matter they wanted there money.

i only owed less than 100 dollars b4 the merchindise was mine, but they threaten me on numours occasions, banging on my my mothers door, calling calling and calling. well i couldnt not take it anymore, this place tricked me into an agreement.

i wouldnt be so angry if i hadnt paid 4 dollars that they added to my bill for these benefits that were totaly fabercated, and only owing them less than 100 dollars to own the item, being they jack the price so high they could of done something to help me like they were suppose to, i PAID for the rac benefits, is there anything that i could do?? please help

thats why you read the Entire contact! and make them explain it to you in full. if they do not then its to good to be true. remember were rented the play station 2 from. they jack th price up well over 200% to make a high over head on something that cost 200$ in the store. if you add your payments up for that year you paid on it the cost is double:( i got them for fraud with the local District Attorney's office. thEY offered me a bed room set told me everyting was new and charged me as it was **NEW** come to find out the mattress set was very used. and the tag was missing off the side of the mattress, and the dressers had all kinds of scuff marks on it! when i asked about the marks the guy at The local RAC said ohh probly done by the delivery guys. i said nope these look old very old. now where is the set i had picked out here that was new? and the matress set did not have factory plastic wrap on it like the set at store/ he says owe we remove that befor we deliver it. i said yep sure, your contract stated new i was billed for new items and i got all used stuff. i called the District Attorney's office and they provided a phone number to file a complaint. i did and it was proven they replaced the items with used stuff, and the new set was a *BAIT AND SWITCH SET* TO GET CUSTOMERS TO BUY IT/RENT IT. AND YOU GET A USED SET THEY DO NOT SHOW THEY HAVE AT ANOTHER STORE. THERE IS A ID TAG ON BACK OF BOTH DRESSERS AND THEY DO NOT MATCH WHAT THE CONTRACT SAYS, AND THE ONES THAT DO MATCH WAS AT THE STORE GO FIGURE! SO THEY PRETTY MUCH GAVE ME THE BED ROOM SET BUT THE TOOK THE USED MATTRESS SET AND REPLACED IT WITH THE NEW SET. THEY DID THIS TO PROTECT THERE SELF AND AVOID Criminal Prosecution DUE TO THEY COMMITTED consumer fraud.
