On August 18, 2006 we had a knock on our door from the credit manager from rent a center. This woman name Victoria is my husbands ex- wifes sister in law. We do not get along at all. She came here to pick up a payment, I stated to her that I would be in the following day to make the payment at the store as I was suppost to do. She was very rude refussed to leave my premises, she called her boss and her boss told her to leave and for me to make the payment the next day.

I go in the next day to make my payment and ask to talk to the manager. Well, the manager had the day off. So, I spoke to the man that took my payment and asked him to tell the manager that I request Victoria not to come back to my house to pick up a payment or anything else.

Sunday I get a call from my step daughter stating that her mom was making fun of us do to Victoria telling her (my husbands ex-wife) that we were going to loose our stove and computer from the store. And that she came out to the house to recieve a payment because we were two weeks behind. Which by the way was not true.

Monday I call to talk to the manager and again he is off.. I call back wed. and guess what he is off again.. HMM starting to wonder. So, finally I get a hold of a manager named Ronnie, on Thursday August 24, 2006 and let him know what Victoria was doing and he proceeded to tell me that he was not her father and that he could not babysit her 24 hours a day, and that if I did not like her I should take my business to another store. I told him there was no reason for him to be a smart elic and asked if his store provided her with a privacy act rules and regulation. He said he did and I then asked if anything was goin to be done about this matter and he said no. So, I told him that I would be in contact with the cooperate and he stated to that they would tell me the same. Victoria was fired from her previous job for doin the same exact thing, releasing personal information outside of her work.

This is rediculous and I am very dissappointed in this company. I really do wish that I would have read all of these rip off reports before I even became involved.

My next step now is to contact corprate and if they do not take care of this matter I will take the next step that is necessary to make sure that will not ever happen again to anyone else.

First of all I want to clear up a few things...yeah u r right WE DON'T GET ALONG..in nice terms I CARE LESS FOR U. Yes, as the ASST. MGR. @ RAC I did go to ur house when ur account became past due over 'THREE WEEKS' after repeated phone calls with no answer or call backs, and MANY BROKEN PROMISES. We at RAC had no option and could not contiue with the account going past due. As Asst. Mgr. I had 2 get this account current or ur merchandise had 2 be returned and be held til u were able 2 make payment. You were just embarressed the fact I was the one 2 knock on ur door and I guess u thought I wasn't brave enough because of our differences. Reason I didn't care for u was when u were with my borother u just wanted HIS MONEY..ALL WAYS HAD UR KIDS DIRTY, SMELLIN LIKE PEE! Don't get mad at me for what is the truth.. 2nd I NEVER GOT FIRED FROM MY PREVIOUS JOB OR ANY, if that was the case I would NEVER have been assistant manager @ RAC for 4 1/2 years. Stop being so SOUR because I was the one to knock on ur door, next time PAY UR BILL ON TIME AND U WON'T HAVE THIS PROBLEM AGAIN..3RD I believe at the time when u wrote this report about me at RAC u had 2 much time on ur hands instead of 1: find a job to pay ur past due bill with us...PAY UR BILL AND AVOID ALL THIS AND SAVE UR EMBARRESSMENT! I WAS DOING MYY JOB IF I WASN'T I WOULD HAVE BEEN GONE ALONG TIME AGO I MUST HAVE BEEN DOING RAC A GOOD JOB..INSTEAD OF LOSSING MONEY ESPECIALLY WITH U I WOULD GAIN IT!!! GROW UP I KNOW UR VERY YOUNG BUT U HAVE ALOT OF KIDS ACT GROW ABOUT THE SITUTION NEXT TIME!! In the end guess what I GOT MY STUFF BACK ;)

Why don't you get a restraining order against her? That way if she decides to show up at your house again (or anywhere else you are) and harrass you, she will be arrested. As for the privacy act stuff, I believe there are laws about that, and that it doesn't really matter what the company policy is, no employee of any business should be allowed to show up at your house and harrass you. File a formal complaint with the police and send a copy to the store.

I have talked to the district manager and he tried to make things better and was really respectfull and understanding of this situation. On the other hand I have to go after Victoria seperate from the company due to her doing what she did outside of work. I am in the process of finding a lawyer who will take my case. I do appreciate your comment though. We thought about going to the Waxahachie store but thought it would just be better to go somewhere else and that is what we have done.

Hello Jennifer, There is a Privacy act where employees are not to tell other people outside of RAC about customer's account. When you called corporate, was the number you called the customer care hotline that is posted on the wall behind the counter? As for someone fairly related to you & that is working at the local store, (I'm assuming it's the Ennis store since you are from that town), why don't you go to the Waxahachie store? (or vica verca depending where your account is currently at) & speak to the store manager @ the other store. Request to have your accounts transfered to the other store so you won't have to deal with your husband's ex-wife's sister in law. (Just a suggestion). This way you can continue on renting your items without having to turn them in & losing out.

I have contacted the corprate office and have not recieved a phone call back. I am begining to get very upset all the stuff I was renting from them is being returned and I will never do business there again nor will I let my family or friends.
