RENTAL NETWORK APARTMENT RENTAL SCAM ripoff A SCAM WHICH CAPITALIZES ON THE SHORTAGE OF AFFORDABLE RENTAL UNITS IN MIDDLESEX NJ! Edison New Jersey
I subscribed to the Rental Network because they advertise in the local NJ newspapers that they have an extensive network of affordable apartments. The Rental company representative took my credit card payment of $99 over the phone and assured me me that if I was not satisfied with the service I would get a 50 % refund after the first 30 days.
The service they provided sucked. They intially gave me a lsit of 14 apartments which supposedly met my criteria. I called 8 of the landlords on the list and only got one return call. The caller indicated the listed apartment was already rented Of the remaining six none of the apartments were not in the geographic area I requested.
You were supposed to call in frequently to see if their were any updates. I called in over 14 times and there never were any.
When I requested my refund, I was told I needed to write a letter which I did. I got back a resposne saying that I would not get the refund because I did not call in every day during the 30 day period.
In short DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. THE RENTAL NETWORK IS A SCAM WHICH CAPITALIZES ON THE SHORTAGE OF AFFORDABLE RENTAL UNITS IN MIDDLESEX NJ.
