In Jan 2012 I listed my new time share, with Resort Timeshare Resales (RTR). I was not listing it to sale but to rent out. I am over 65 so I was going to use the accelerated program, so that gave me 4 weeks. I called Peter at RTR and he talked about how he put fishing PACKAGES together every year for the Bisbee tournament and since my resort was right on the marina it was a perfect place to rent out. He listed all 4 weeks at $1,600.00 ea. He said the only problem he coud see for them not being rented was if there was a hurricant there. As far as I know there has not been a hurricane in Cabo. I even lowered my price to $1,050.00 for each week. He said he would probably get an offer on it around March, as this was the busy season, (spring) and people are starting to check resorts out for the Bisbee being held in Oct. and Nov.

The 1st of April I didn't anything so I called Peter, at this time he told me the package he put together for the Bisbee did not include me weeks. He said I can't believe they have not been rented by now, but I am sure it will be any day now. I was going on vacation so he took all my information as to what resort I would be at so he coud get in contact with me WHEN we had an offer. Phone call never came.   The brochure they sent me said:  BBB member for 26 years. This is not true, I contacted BBB and they said they ave never been a member.  This is very misleading and FALSE advertising.  I paid $699.00 up front, after the BBB contacted them they did refund my money but I also lost m 2013 week.  These people should be in jail instead of out on the street among hard working people that are to trusting.

Resort timeshare resales & Royal Elite Timeshare Scam

#2Consumer Comment

Wed, April 16, 2014

Resort timeshare resales contacted me with all the right answers. They said my Royal Elite timeshare would be easy to sell and it would be sold 30-60 days, but no way it would last over 90 days. James made sure I would be able to answer my phone for all the offers. I would have to be able to say yeah or nah on the offers. It's been over 3 months and I have not received one offer nor have I heard from James to discuss any issues. This company is a joke and I warn everyone to stay clear. They got $750 out of me and I am sure they will try to get more out of you
