     I am a West Penn Power customer in Eighty-Four, PA.  I was dubed into switching my electric supplier to Respond Power by a person I thought worked for West Penn Power.  In one month I was billed the equavilent of almost 8 months of electric service.  By the time I realized that my electric bill for (1) month of service was over $600.00.  I cancelled Respond Power immediately only to be told that it would take 30 days to cancel thier service.  By the next billing cycle by total bill by Respond Power was over $1200.00 that was for only (2) months of service, when my households normal electric bill was only around $150.00 per month.  

     I was sent a termination notice by West Penn Power with no way to pay the amount due to Respond Power.  My total charges for West Penn Power was only arount $70.00 of the $1200.00 due.  Hopefully with the Dollar Energy Program offered through West Penn Power I may be able to avoid having my electric service terminated.

 

     Any other electric customers with the same problem, please let others know about these horrific billing practices by Respond Power.
