Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I went to Results Weight Loss Center in hopes of loosing weight and the main thing I told them was that I did not want to be on a meal plan which is why I choose them versus one of the other centers. I was told that the cost for one (1) year would be $1000.00 and included th epills and snacks that I would need.

I was told to sign here, sign here and sign here not realizing that if you change your mind, you have 3 days to do it and do it in writting.

I was also told that my weight loss was guranteed, that I would loose 3 - 5 pounds a week. I was given a months worth of pills, a weeks worth of snacks and told to follow all instructions and I would loose the weight.

I followed their instructions and guess what, I put on weight.

Then, a week later, I went back for my first (and only) follow-up. I am basically punished for not eating more of what I was told to eat. I was then told that I would need their other pills and more snacks and to eat different stuff than what I had been eating. Mind you now, I had just spent close to $200.00 in foods that I did not have in my house so that I could eat what I was told to eat. The exact thing I didn't want to be forced into doing.

I became so stressed out that second week that I decided not to go back. I told them I wanted to cancel and I was told that I could not get a refund.

Here I am being forced to $1000.00 for services NOT rendured.

Isn't that supposed to be against the law?

I wrote letters to the company (not to mention that the address for cancelling was wrong to begin with and if I had cancelled in 3 days, they would not have received it), and to the credit people telling them about this.

Explaining that I have no problem paying fo rthe services and products I received but to pay for a years worth of services when all I received was one (1) week, was simply not right. The credit people (GE MONEY _ CARE CREDIT) said it's not right and I will receive a credit but I am still awaiting that. I don't believe it will happen.

Results Weight Loss Center's Director of Operations (Grant Morse) wrote me back stating that he is empathetic and understanding of my circumstances but not able to process a refund after 3 business days.

Because I was told to sign here, sign here and sign here and I did not actually read their rediculous cancellation policy, they can not rendure me a refund.

In other words, that would be about $850.00 out of their pockets and their not going to do that.

Oh but they did offer me an extra month of services and said that I don't have to purchase the products. CRAP. That's not what the people in the centers are teling you.

I wish I knew someone that could go into this place and see how they are treated and forced into paying for a 1 year contract even if you receice no product or service.

They took advantage of me. They knew I wanted to loose the weight. they NEVER told me I could pay as I went, I fould that out after the fact by a relative of mine who by the way has stopped going as well.

Another relative of mine signed up the same day I did and aparently changed her mind the next day without writing a letter to cancel.

Companies such as this should be out of business. They play on your emotions and take advantage of you.

They charge you for services and products you do not receive. This is supposed to be a crime. How is it Results Weight Loss Center is getting away with it???

YOU CHOSE NOT TO READ THE CONTRACT that is your fault - not the weight loss center. It does not matter that they said sign here etc - YOU MADE THE DECISION NOT READ THE CONTRACT - DEAL WITH IT YOU CHOSE NOT TO FOLLOW THE DIET - that is your fault -not the weight loss center. You claim you went out and spent $200 on food you did not have in the house That was YOUR CHOICE no one forced you to do so. YOU made several BAD choices here that resulted in your failed weight loss attempt. YOU HAVE TO LIVE WITH YOUR CHOICES! TO BOTH THE OP AND THE FIRST REBUTTAL - DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH - GEMB WILL NEVER DO ANYTHING FOR YOU. CARE CREDIT IS A SCAM ANYWAY AND GEMB USES IT TO THE MAX.

After reading this complaint, I feel I must respond. I worked for Results Weight Loss, and what this consumer experienced is her own fault. I attended a month long, comprehensive training class before I was allowed to set foot in a center, and I can assure you, no one ever told her that her membership included optional supplements and snacks. The membership presentation is very clear, and individuals are given a thorough explanation of their program before they ever leave the building. She stated herself that she never read the contract that she signed. Who's fault is that? And who files a complaint with corporate, and then waits 2 months to follow up? Anyone has 3 days to cancel on any retail contract, that is the law. She didn't do it. And she says she followed the plan for a week and gained weight? That is just not possible. The Results Weight Loss program was developed by a Medical Dr. and every potential clients medical history is reviewed by a registered dietitian, before they are allowed to even be considered for the program. It is a safe and common sense approach to weight loss, not some fad diet or gimmick. I followed the program myself, without the supplements, and lost 5 pounds the first week. And the Centers are full of before and after photos, and testimonials from satisfied clients who lost weight, and kept it off. Because of the dire economy this entire country is experiencing, I was laid off from this company, and am out of work, but still feel strongly enough about the Results Weight Loss Program to come to their defense. I was treated fairly, and was lucky enough to meet many happy clients, who have learned how to safely lose weight, and keep the weight off. Thank You

Back in June 2007 I sent a dispute to GE Money / Care Credit. I had not heard back and I started to wonder and thought they were just researching my case. In late August I receive a letter (dated August 24, 2007) stating that they were researcing (just as I thought). Two weeks later, I receive a letter telling me that my dispute was submitted on August the 8th and that it was over the 60 day time frame for submitting disputes. How convinent that according to them, it is 4 days over the 60 day timeframe. Such crap. They will not process my dispute and told me that they received my dispute on August 24th. I argued with them but it did no good. The girl told me that I could contact corporate but that was it. These people are getting away with charging me for 1 year of BS services and product, which some of the product I never received and only attended their services twice, including the day I joined. I don't have a problem paying for what I received but I do have a problem paying for services and product NOT received. Is there anybody that can help guide me in order to get my money back. Results Weight Loss Center in SW Florida are FRAUDS and they need to be shut down and forced to reimbuse their clients. GE Money Bank / Care Credit needs to be forced to refund their customers as well. I thought they would assist me but they are just as bad as Results Weight Loss.
