That suprises me that when you told them that this account was included in a bankruptcy, he just said he would look into it. While a bankruptcy will show on your credit bureau report, and in a public record search, it does not give details other than the date filed and if it was dismissed or discharged. Generally, my office would ask if you retained an attorney. If so, we would call them to get the details of the bankruptcy. If no lawyer was used, sending a copy of the court papers showing the account in question was included in the bankruptcy should stop the calls.
