Used Retriever for 3 and half years. After cancelling, was charged $250, which was removed from my bank account. Was told it was because it was an early termination fee, yet after having reviewed every contact page, every agreement and policy book delivered, there is no mention of any kind of renewable contract or even the original contract length.
The company only has two people in their office, one is a secretary, who cant/wont do anything and a "president" who hides behind said secretary and will not answer calls or return calls, instead choosing to send "too bad" emails. Even though they cannot even show paperwork where the $250 charge is listed, they claim "its their policy", though they cannot show proof of it, especially when it isnt listed on any contract
Their business policies are shady at best, their management is downright pitiful. I suspect many others have been ripped off, but havent done anything. If you have been ripped off, file a complaint with their local Better Business Bereau as well as the National Processing Company, whose contact information you can get by going to the Dallas BBB and typing in Retriever Payment Systems.
If enough business get together, something WILL happen. Its those that dont do anything that allows these crooks to operate.

I have the contract. In no way shape or form is there any line on any part of the contract that I was asked to sign, that states that the contract will renew automatically. The excuse was that this was written on a policy information that was sent AFTER the contract was signed. That may be true, but I never received this policy information either and it still is not on the contract.

Every contract, with Every company has an ETF, Early Termination Fee, on them. The ETF, Early Termination Fee, on our contract is about one inch above the signatue line in bold ink. Then after the contract is signed by an customer then that person gets a yellow copy of that contract to keep for record. ALL fees are on the same page that the customer signs.
