I have been a personal coach and corporate trainer for over 20 years, far before the term was popularized by scam artists like Rich Bernstein of Mars Venus "Corporate" in Las Vegas. i use corporate very loosely since the MarsVenus Corporate offices consist of one person, Rich Bernstein and an occassional assistant, temp secretary.
I received an email from Mars Venus Coaching advertising their next Coaches training and thoguht I should warn everyone out there to avoid him and his "organization" at all costs. a simple google search should convince you to avoid him but if not, here is my story...
as i said, I have been a personal coach and corporate trainer for 20 years. In addition, I have been a John Gray fan since I first read his book in the 90s. (I even met my now husband of 10 years at one of his seminars in Chicago). I fell upon a facebook post advertising a training to become a Mars Venus Coach a couple years ago. I thought, "How neat. John Gray is training coaches the things he writes about in his books." So I called MarsVenus Coaching to find out more.
Over 4 different calls (sales calls by him) - Rich sold me on the idea that John Gray would be leading the training all week and I would be joining a large, world-class group based all over the world. I thought what a great opportunity to add Dr. Gray's principles to my work and Rich told me he could have me "on a plane tomorrow" training a Fortune 500 company on " Gender Intelligence ". I singed up and gave him my credit card.
The training was nothing like I had expected. it was in las Vegas, in a small Holiday Inn off the strip. There were only 4 other people there who signed up to be "coaches", along with 3 current Mars Venus Coaches who led the "training". John Gray spoke for 6 hours the first day and ran out at the end to catch a plane so we never had more than 5 minutes with him. I dont even think he really knew what went on the rest of the week because his lecture was barely related to the workshops we learned the next couple days.
Rich Bernstein called me a week after the training to ask if I wanted to lead a training for a corporate client he had "landed". the agreement was i would get 50% of the fee wihtin 30 days of the training and he woudl cover my expenses. I won't mention the company or where but it was a Fortune 500 company so I give him that credit. The red flag I missed was when he suggested I buy my airfare and hotel for the 3 day training and he would reimburse me the week I returned. So I went, finished and flew home.
I spoke to Rich during and after the trianing and he said the client was impressed with my presentation and wanted to discuss future trainings with Mars Venus Executive Training and me. I should explain that I actually added to his stock training because I had to beef it up with more current information.
That next week, I called Rich 5 times looking for reimbursement for my flight and airfare. He finally called me back on a Saturday afternoon to tell me he was still waiting on the client to send in theri payment. 30 days passed with 11 phone calls. No check. 3 months passed with 15 phone calls. No check but I did receive 2 emaisl from him explaining that the client had sent the wrong amount and he had to return the check to them and was waiting on another. Huh?! I knew I had been scammed.
I called his other office in California to ask about payment. They had never heard of me and directed me back to Rich because he was "just a licensee" and they never really dealt with him. They encouraged me to send him to collections. Huh?! I gave up on it and Mars Venus Coahcing.
Then, mysteriously, a check showed up for half the 2/3 the amount I was originally promised. I emailed Rich, sarcasticly thanking him and asked why it wasn't the full amount promised. He thoguht I was being serious with my thanking and said he had to pay his "sales coach" a commission for bringing in the client. then he asked me if I wanted to help lead his next training for new Mars Venus Coaches. I said no and hung up on him. I think he got the message. I never heard from him again.
But I did do some research on the Mars Venus Coaching and Rich Bernstein and found out:
-most Mars Venus Coaches leave after one year. (Ask him how many are current coaches on his list he posts online.)
-he has lost a dozen or so court cases that past 12 years, most for breach of contract where he failed to pay $ he owed
-he has been convicted of 2 felonies for securities fraud, embezzlement and cedit card fraud. his latest one is all over the internet and ripoff report
-he has spent time in prison (Terminal Island)
-he ripped off his own brother in a failed chewing gum / candy company he operated in the 90s (Bernstein Brothers , Nation Distribution Group)
-he has ripped off other coaches and trainers in the same way he did me
-his right hand man is a Mars Venus Coach named Scott Lippit (Colorado), is a convicted sex offender who attempted to meet an underage girl for sex (found with condoms and sex toys)
...and the worst one, since he pushes a Parenting Workshop online...
he cheated on his wife many times, fathered multiple children (with an ex-porn star) and left California, escaping to Nevada to avoid paying child support.
Avoid him people or pay the price.

The post written by convicted felon Richard B**** is so disturbing on so many levels it is hard to understand how John Gray could go along with this. First and foremost one of the most important aspects in rehabilitating any convicted felon is that they show remorse. It is obvious that Mr. B**** feels nothing but animosity for the victims of Mars Venus Coaching, which only proves he has no intention on being a productive member of society or turning his life around.
After B**** tried to dupe me into buying a franchise in the State of California I did my own google search and found that the State of California issued an order preventing him from doing business in this State. Wouldn’t this be a violation of his probation to try and sell these franchises or services in California after being ordered to stop?
It is also clear there is no way any one person could have posted all this information. Many of the posts regarding B****’s arrest and his mug shot were in local newspapers and even covered on the nightly news. His criminal record and all his lawsuits are public record with links directing you where to view them online. Several franchise magazines ran their own stories as well and included information on B****’s partner Scott Lippitt who was arrested for trying to have sex with a 13 year old girl. It appears by the press releases the individuals that B**** ripped off were both coaching clients and investors in Mars Venus Coaching and I am sure now with all the information that has come out now they probably wish they would have known better.
The fact that Mr. B**** is offering them an opportunity to come in and take one of John Gray’s classes on letting go and moving forward in their life shows what a sick , narcissistic sociopath he really is. After speaking with him and then googling him I quickly realized that he is nothing more than a cocky opinionated braggart who believes he is some superior human being.
His abilities are grossly inflated and he appears to be nothing more than a common thief with 2 seperate felony convictions who uses deceit and deception to cheat, con, or defraud others for his own personal gain without one ounce of remorse or guilt. I don’t really think at this point anyone needs to let the world know about Mr. B**** it’s more about getting him help or locking him up so he can’t take advantage of others.

what part is a fabrication Rich? Please do clarify what parts were fabricated. There are many sources for your many legal troubles online (besides the dozen ripoff reports on you) and I know your other victims.
-Mars Venus does not pay coaches or trainers their commissions as promised
-most Mars Venus Coaches leave after one year. (Ask him how many are current coaches on his list he posts online.)

Wow, here we go again. Another complete fabrication. first you pose as a client of a coach, then you post as if you are a coach, then a client of an executive training class and now you are an executive trainer. I think you might just have too much time on your hands as you have now shown the world you do not know about Mars Venus or how the business is run. The more you post the more rediculous you sound.
If you came to our coach training here in Las vegas, then you would meet the Corporate team and see who they consist of. If you came to coach training, then you would know the executive trainers are trained separate from the coaches and are not sent out to train anyone until they "shadow" another trainer several times. We do not just "put you on a plane next week". You would also be aware of the pay structure as what you mentioned in your post is inaccurate. All trainers sign a commission structure and there is no such thing as a "sales Coach". If you, in fact, delivered the workshop, you could not have "added to it" as you state as this is what John Gray has put together customized for each client so you cannot make these so called, changes or "beef it up" as you say. Your post is so far from the truth and you post so frequently that your motive must be just to hurt. The reason you find other posts on google search is because you put them there. If this is your way of making yourself feel better, then maybe you should take one of John Gray's classes on letting go and moving forward in your life. I am sorry you feel like you need to let the world know what a bad organization Mars Venus Coach is, but those involved with the team know better.
