I just wanted to add a "tid-bit" on this one. Actually the same EXACT situation happened with my parents home in Phoenix built by Meritage homes. We came to find out that it was the A/C companies fault, basically lazy work. While Richmond needs to keep to their warranty repairs in a timely fashion, you may also find it quicker to call your A/C company (most likely Chas Roberts) That is who installed in these Meritage homes and MANY of the homes there have had similar issues. We found that if we called them direct, we can get them there much quicker for the repairs and they take care of the paperwork for us. Just be sure to contact your subdivison warranty manager for your home and keep copies of your paperwork.
