The owner, himself, who took the order charged me 7.50 for two slices of pizza and a diet coke. I tipped him a dollar to be nice before coming back to ask why 2x2.00 slices and a diet coke would become 7.50. He refused to talk to me till he was done taking the orders of 20 or so baseball players. I had class in 10 minutes; I could not wait.

I was really surprised when I found that he charged me a total of 9.37 on my charge card. An entire cheese pizza for four people at Rico's is 8.50 or so. I was duped, and not only me. I went with my friends for a pre-birthday meal, and they overcharged every one of us!! Please, do not go to Rico's Pizza locations if you want to be overcharged and duped out of your money.

Find a more reputable pizza joint to get your fix. 9.37 may not seem like a lot of money, but it is when that money could go toward buying a college textbook or for tuition.

Re: Rebuttal: The orignal charge was for 7.50. Like I said. The amount that showed up on my statement was for 9.37!! I did check the amount I was paying and figured it was alright. Sorry if I'm not used to people cheating me in many sales. It must be something some people are used to. I was with other friends as well who also received similar charges, hence another reason why I didn't raise the issue till one of my friends who bought a coke(1.75) and a slice ($2) was charged 5.75 for her meal! Please do not try to say this was my fault. I did pay the 7.50, they charged me 9.37 WITHOUT my knowing. I wouldn't have even looked if it weren't for the other 3 friends who came with me who were ALSO charged WRONGLY.

Steve-Coconut Creek, Florida, If you knew what the costs were at time of purchase, why would you knowingly overpay? You should have spoken up right when he told you the total. That would have been the end of it. Any situation is harder to handle after the fact. However, since you paid on a credit card, just dispute the charge. However, I have to ask why you would sign a charge slip without looking at the total. And, if you did look at it and it was wrong, why would you sign it? It could have been an honest mistake. people do make mistakes. How much was the diet coke? Could it have been like $2.75 or something, then the tax on the order? Added like that $7.50 sounds close. Also, there may be only certain slices that are $2 each, like plain cheese, or something like that. Or maybe the $2 slice is only during certain hours, etc. It appears that there is much more to the story here as things just do not add up.
