First off, I would have to say that I was a dual enrolled highschool student in 2004 who took 3 of their courses. This is just a small complain about their transcript requests, but I thought it might be necessary or would atleast somehow alleviate my fustrations to include this on this site. I went online to my.maricopa.edu to request a transcript to be sent to my school in Canada. The site shows errors when I do this because it expects me to select a school only in the state of Arizona. I understand that this site does not belong to solely Rio Salado College, so I am not blaming that problem on them. After calling the school, I was told that I can only mail in a request because they have no control over the problem. I decided to have it sent to my address via online to speed up the process and ensure that my request doesn't get lost through the mail, so that I can then send it to my international school. After a week, I didn't receive it so when I called Rio Salado, they told me to wait a little longer. 2 and a half weeks pass, still nothing. I call again and was told that I can get a free transcript be sent, or faxed to my college in canada, if I can fax in a request. I borrowed my aunt's fax machine and kept getting 'no answer' when trying to send it to Rio Salado's fax machine. I called them and they denied the fact that I can get a free transcript since I never received mine, but then told me that I can get it free if I send another request. They told me to keep faxing until they receive it. After an hour and 20 wasted papers later, I decided to just mail in the request. I just wish I took all my courses at Mesa Community College, I never had a problem requesting transcripts from them, and it would be convenient to receive grades on the same record. The girl that told me I could get a free copy was the only nice person I dealt with at Rio Salado's registration line. And yes, I wrote this all because I lost $5.82. But I feel better now, thanks for reading.

Fraud from Rio Salado CC

I wish this were my only problem with Rio Salado CC.  They do not provide the education that is paid for by the customer (the student).  They believe in selling you their poorly written and overpriced textbook and try to fail you on their exams by presenting you with questions not covered in the text.  I believe it is a matter of time before they will be brought into court for their active attempt to destroy a person's future.  Why would any college want to do something like this?
