RIPS Venice Sports Bar and Billiards "New Bar" Horrible Service, Scum Bags Venice, Florida
Horrible service, you will sit for 10 minutes wating for service, while the bar tenders sit and talk, text, and one in particular will feed his fat face (not Albert, Albert and TJ are actually the best servers, Tom is good also).
Since new ownership has taken over, this place is only self-serving, for their interests only. One bar tender will get annoyed if he has to take time to serve you, especially if he is eating.
Restrooms are filthy, bar tenders will mis-change you if you do not watch, or over charge your credit card/tab for drinks not ordered.
A girl claims her drink was laced with something recently, making her black out and wake up in a un-compromising position. Lack of supervision/poor management.
Scum bags.

To the writer of this complaint:
I first state that the attack made on the bar is a review and has no place being on Ripoff Report.
I am sorry that you had a bad experience at the noted bar and would like an opportunity to rebuttal some of your statements.
Since new ownership, the bar has taken great strides to provide and better experience from the quality of the bar, party and safety within the bar. When the trade-over of ownership occured, the bar was known as a rough spot and the location of many fights. I am proud to say that over the past 4 months we have cleaned up the bar and the occurence of fights is much more scarce. Remember this is still a bar and altercations will occur.
As for the attack on our staff, I am proud to state that we have the most friendly and attentive staff in Venice. Our staff pours strong drinks and we are the best value for the price in all of Sarasota and Venice.
As for the statement of a girl being laced in the bar, this is the first I have heard of this. We pride ourselves on having the best and most professional security staff in town. They keep our patrons safe while maintaining great customer service. But remember, it is impossible for our staff to watch over every person at our bar at every moment. We encourage all people to always keep their drink in their hand and under their watch. If anything like this is to ever occur, we encourage you to file a police report and we will assist in every way possible to bring that person to justice. Please do not ever think that my staff would knowingly drug or allow someone to be drugged under my watch.
As for the restrooms, these will be remodled in upcoming time. We have made efforts to start this project and will hopefully complete them in the upcoming month. We deal with vandelism on a daily basis and do our best to keep the restrooms as clean as possible.
Lastly, I would like to state that all changes in the bar have been made to make the bar a more fun and enjoyable environment for the people of Venice and vistors no matter where they come from. I will continue to do my best to manage and operate this bar to the best standards that I expect when I go out to any location.
