I saw some posts online about a mixed martial arts event in Arlington Heights called "Rise Of The Gladiator". They said it featured Chicagoland's highest rising MMA talent, so I figured there would be some potential UFC fighters, Bellator vets, etc, but not, they completely mislead and lied to everyone. It did not feature any true fighters, instead it was a bunch of casual UFC gym members fighting each other. They all were 0-0 and I blew $40 on complete garbage.
I had it out with a guy named Dan Lardy but he quickly pointed the finger at the UFC Gym Lombard GM Mike Jaber, blaming him for the catasrophe and said that the fight card was all his idea, and they simply partnered up financially only. Definitely seemed like he was embarassed by these fights too when he insisted its "not his product" and how his own XFO events are much more high profile.
These people just swung their arms around like they were taping "bum fights". It was awful and I am so mad I wasted my money on such a rip off. I really expected someone like an up and coming Brock Lesnar and instead I got a bunch of people I'd put gum in their hair back in school. Waste of time and money.
Mike "juice" Jaber should be ashamed.
