I brought a 2000 ford focus from riverside motors LLC in Waterbury Sept 2011 I gave an 1800 down deposit for a car that was about 5800 with taxes. At the time the bank would not give me a loan due to losing my job. When i found that out I was fine I was just going to take my down deposit and buy a used car Christian decided to put the car in his name for me as the lien holder. He said he was doing an act of good faith because I am a college student and he know I needed a car to get back and forth from school. I was a little skeptical at first but he came off as a nice guy just trying to good a good deed for a college student.

After i gave him my security deposit he told me my car would be ready in two days and that its going to the shop to have the A/C fixed and one of the belts replaced. I called him two days later to pick up my car they said that he wasn't in and the car is still being fixed. About a week past and i still called everyday and they still told me he wasn't in and the car is being fixed. After a week of calling ad already having insurance on the car I decided to go in when i arrive i seen that the car was still at the dealership they told me christian was out and he will be back later. I continued to call for another week or longer and finally i decided to go over there again surprisingly christian was there he told me he was going to register the car and the car will be ready to pick up tomorrow.

The next day I went to pick up the car and it was register and ready to go when i got in the car I realized that the A/C was still blowing out hot air in 80 degree weather and the belt was still making noise and also the radio would cut of and on whenever it felt like it. I didn't understand why any of my problems wasn't addressed after he told me that the reason they held off on giving me the car was because it was in the shop. I had my car for no longer then 30 days christian and i made a payment plan prior to the due date of my payment I contacted him to let him know that I couldn't make the full amount in a lump sum but i would be able to make a portion of the payment by the 1st of October and the remaining balance for October will be paid by the end of the month he agreed to it verbally,  by October 2nd my car was repossessed i went outside my house and it was gone. He then wrote me a letter and said I would have to pay the remaining balance of the car off in order to get it back since then I had to withdraw from school and i paid 1800 for a car that I only had for 30 days. He knew prior to giving me the car that i was a college student and I wasn't employed and I needed the car to finish school I had only two semester left this guy knew what he was doing a head of time he scammed me out of my money a car and a education.

So, I read your post as to what happened. I took on a dealer and guess what - I WON. I'm not an attorney, so I can't represent you, but I can show you the steps you need to take as well as the proceedures, because I've been there. So, you're probably asking "how much is this guy going to charge me?" or "What's this going to cost?" Fact is, I don't charge people. For me, all you have to do is say Thank You, if you win. That's it on my part. However, there are costs involved. You will need some supplies and the State charges fees to file paperwork that I can't get you out of. You'll give no money to me, you will give the money directly to the court, so you don't have to worry about getting burned. All I am going to do is show you what papers to file and help you with the wording. Like I said, my job, per say, will be HELPING YOU. You'll be doing the work, hence another reason a don't charge and why should I as in reality, you are representing yourself I'm simply a guide and someone who has been thru this. Still interested? Give me a call at 203-508-0108. Let's work on trying to get your money back from these turds, shall we. Trust me They'd rather pay you back then go thru the hell you are about to put them thru.

Power of Attorney?

Whether you are aware of it or not, you very likely signed a power of attorney giving the dealer the power to sign your name on the registration application.  This is a common practice with auto dealers.

First Off all I said was i wasnt paying attention to your comments your right you do have the right to post whatever you want that's your business after this response I have nothing else to say to you. Yes, I did say that he was lien holder on the car yes I do know the meaning of him being a lien holder. Back to the forging the signature no i did not sign the actually registration papers the car was registered properly in my name but, I never filled out the papers, when i received the registration papers from DMV my signature was forged and he spelled my name wrong i believe that i should have been the one to sign the papers whether or not I knew that the car was suppose to be in the name. then earlier you mention something about the contract and the paper i filled out I have been waiting on a copy of those papers since i brought the car i have no contract or anything. I have nothing to hide  I have told the truth. so if you feel that you need to further comment on because of all the experience you have and whatever BS excuse you gave that's your business i wont be commenting from this point on.

At one point you say he forged your name to register the car. in an earlier statement you say he registered it in his name. You're contradicting yourself. If you signed the required documents at the time you bought the car, you gave him all the signatures he needs to register the car in your name. Registering the car in his name and being a leinholder are not the same. If you owe him money on the car he has every right to be a leinholder. He has no right to be listed as the registered owner. As far as my comments go, just because I don't agree with you 100% doesn't mean I don't have a right to post. Last time I checked there was no requirement to provide proof of "time and effort", as you put it, in order to post here. I will gladly compare my knowledge of the auto industry with yours at any time. Just because you don't like what I say doesn't make it incorrect. Apparently you feel that anyone who dissagrees with you must have a hidden agenda.

Just to let you know I am happy to know that you can sit here and respond back to something that you didnt put any time nor effort into I worked hard to save that money up for my car and having to drop out of school. Just as you say I broke my contract he did to he held on for my money for weeks saying he fixed my car and it was never fixed and he went to DMV and forged my signature on the registration papers. As a dealership he was suppose to honor fixing my car and he didnt and from this moment on your opinion dont really matter and shes right you probably are related to him or can him.  Thanks to the other woman who responded and giving the advice about filing a complaint to DMV I will definitely do that.

no relatinship to the dealer

I am in no way affiliated with this dealership. In fact I never heard of it prior to this post. I've been a used car dealer in Florida for over 20 years and lived in Waterbury prior to that This lot may be the worst business in the world or it may be the best, I don't know. What I do know is that based on what he wrote the buyer violated the contract in this case. Reread the complaint. He was obligated to pay a certain amount on a certain date and failed to do so. In this particular case I don't see where the dealer did anything wrong.

I am on the consumers side. This so called company, who moves around the valley like fish in the river have a way of knowing how to sell s**t to flies. They have moved to North main st, Union city, Naugatuck not even a mile from the Waterbury locations. But I have warned the right people in that small community. They end up not honering their leases and end up using the consumers money, look up CT Judical type in the sons and/or the dads name whoop law suits all over the place. Go to the DMV website and file a complaint with them they have over 100 as of last week. Mine is one. that is the only way to close them up for good. Hey person from Florida, why don't you take the worthless father of this dealer ship down there with you..opps sorry I forgot this dealer ship has one in Florida you must be a relative or maybe Chris himself..losers

In your complaint you state that you called the dealer to tell them you were unable to pay the entire payment. If you failed to pay the full agreed upon payment you're in the wrong not them. Just because you called them doesn't mean they agreed to change the contract. A typical auto finance contract states that the buyer agrees to pay a certain amount on certain dates. If the buyer defaults the dealer has the right to repossess the vehicle. The buyer is reponsible for all costs incurred to repo the vehicle. They did what they're supposed to do, you didn't
