Clearly the lack of additional "victims" in this complaint ought to be sufficient evidence that CirclePix is not a scam. However, I would like to address some of the claims made in this report. I am unable to reply directly to the specifics because the claimant did not leave a name, though I am fairly confident I can narrow the claimant down to one of three people.
First, the "promise" of 20-30 tours per month--CirclePix never promises volume. In each contract with our photographers, we specifically state that we cannot guarantee minimum volume as we send tours to the photographers when they come in. Since we are unable to know exactly when tours will come in, we cannot promise a minimum volume. In addition, previous photographers in Honolulu had been an assistant to a CirclePix photographer before contracting on themselves, and therefore knew exactly how many tours were being ordered in the area prior to their starting to shoot for CirclePix (and therefore could predict as well as we could what future volume could be expected). Plus, if CirclePix was such a scam, why did these assistant photographers come under contract for CirclePix? Surely his/her manager would have told him/her to never work for us if we were so awful and had mistreated people so poorly.
"They hired 2 more photographers in an area that one could handle and got 2 more dummies to pay all that money as well."
The only reason we have previously contracted two photographers in Honolulu was because the photographer in the area was not willing to cover the entire island, thereby requiring us to have two photographers. Currently we have one photographer in Honolulu who is willing to cover the whole island.
"There was absolutely NO REASON to fire me. Only because by hiring a new, waiting photographer, they could make that additional fee and sale of equipment."
CirclePix ensures that contracts that are terminated are done so legitimately and legally due to repeated contract violations by the terminated party. No lawsuit or official complaint has been filed again CirclePix. CirclePix has an A rating with the Better Business Bureau (http://www.bbb.org/utah/business-reviews/magazine-subscription-agents/circlepixcom-in-springville-ut-13000715), has been on the Inc. 5000 list twice (http://www.inc.com/inc5000/2007/lists/top100-industry-real-estate.html and http://www.inc.com/inc5000/2008/lists/media-companies.html), and has been in business for over 10 years with hundreds of photographers nationwide.
For those who really want to know about CirclePix, talk to the hundreds of photographers who have worked with CirclePix (either in the past, or are current working with CirclePix), or the hundreds of employees who have been or are employed by CirclePix, and you'll see that CirclePix is a respectable company that does not scam photographers.
