Paid 50% $1,600.00 of order to Rock Tops / Jacquelin / Grand Rapids, MI consisting of complete kitchen granite including sink and faucet and 1 vanity (bathroom) granite and sink. At the time of placing this order we were told that our measure date was 11/25/08 and our install date was 12/15/08.

11/25/08

Measure date: Rock Tops / Robert came and measured. After measure asked us to pay him in full per contract that was signed. We were told by Jacquelin that we would not pay again until install date. Wrong. Robert said no and read the contract that we signed. We paid the balance in full at this time. 50% $1,600.00 bringing total paid in full to $3,200.00. Robert also had us sign a form saying we would owe an additional $350.00 if we were not home for install and if we made any changes now. No changes were made. Second form he had us sign was for us to remove our appliances due to company policy which we signed.

If we did not remove appliances along with counters for install we would be charged an additional $350.00 also.

12/3/08

Received phone call from Rock Tops / Doug / Manager / Grand Rapids telling us that the 15th install date will not work for him but the 23rd will. We agreed to the 23rd. Doug also left a voicemail on our phone this day guaranteeing the 23rd install date.

12/22/08

We removed our counters and sinks complete in our kitchen and bathroom and removed appliances.

12/23/08

Install date #2: Waited all day for Rock Tops no phone calls, no installers, no granite nothing. We called every # we had including all other locations and all we heard was their computer system if we were lucky. Most #s hung up, would not take message or was full.

Balance of this month: We have left messages, sent emails, reported problems to their corp. office and still nothing.

Recap: This Company has wasted our month. We were suppose to be out of town between install date 1st time and holidays, then before 2nd install date. They were notified both times of our schedule and have disrespected both. Now we are left with no kitchen and appliances for a week and a half so far. Kids, baby the list goes on not to mention our family Christmas being called off. As of today the 31st of December I am starting to read alot of disturbing new things with this company. If anyone has more info for us or help please email and we will due the same. This is criminal! I think the US Attorney, US Treasury and FBI needs to get involved and not a bankruptcy trustee.

Mac, Sorry to hear about your countertops. If there is anything we might be able to do to help you with your tops please let us know. I was by the Macomb location today and saw a slab of granite with the name Mac on it. The color was Giallo Vencenza. If you paid by credit card you can call the company and dispute it. My partner also lives in Rockford, 10 mile and the Beltline area. If you like call the office on Monday and we can see what we can do for you. 616-656-9494
