On March 13th 2002. I called Rockenbach Chevorlet and spoke with a salesman concerning a 1997 black chevy blazer that I had found advertised on yahoo autos. I asked this salesman if this vehicle was still available. he stated that it was still available & on their lot.

I asked him if he could give me any information on this vehicle. He told me this vehicle was in excellent shape inside & out, And that this vehicle was a local vehicle bought at this dealer and now traded back in. I asked about the high mileage, he stated that it was highway miles.

This salesman then asked me if I wanted to make an appointment to view this vehicle.

I told him yes I would like to view this vehicle & explained to him that I lived about 250 miles or more south of their dealership. He asked me if I could be there by 11:00am the next day March 14th. I told him I would be there at 11:00. he stated to me he would hold this vehicle for me.

I drove to Rockenbach Chevorlet on March 14th A 41/2 hr drive.Introduced my-self to the salesman I had spoke with the previous day.

He asked me to have a seat at his desk while he went to the lot to pull the blazer up front for me. After about 10 minutes he came back and told me that their lot was so big he was having trouble finding the blazer.

He stated to me that it may be on another lot down the street. and stated to me that he also had a green blazer for the same price as the black one I had orginaaly came to view.

he told me if I wanted I could look at this green blazer to get the general idea of what the black would look like and could even test drive it while he went to find the black one.

I did agree to look at the green blazer and took it for a test drive while waiting for him to find the blazer I had came to view.

When I returned from the test drive of the green blazer. this salesman informed me that the blazer I had came to view was sold a few days ago.

He then proceeds to ask me if I liked the green blazer and how it drove. I stated I wasn't crazy about the color. But considering it was the same type of vehicle and the same year I had came to view it would be ok.

He then quotes a price of 6995.00 after earlier stating to me it was the same price as the one I had came to view.

He tried to sell me anything he could. I was so disappointed because I had inquried about a certin vehicle and was told it would be held for me.

I drove a very long distance to buy a certin vehicle that I was told would be held for me, and then get there only to be told it must have been sold.

This salesman did not even make any attempt to apologize to me for making a 4 1/2 hr trip.

I called Rockenbach the next day March 15th 2002, asked to speak with someone about this. I spoke with a manager whom did not give me his name.

He sounded concerned and told me he didn't like the sound of what I told him and he told me he would look into the matter call me back later in the afternoon.

Today is March 20th, 5 days later and I still have not recieved a call back from Rockenbach.

I feel like this salesman deceived me and lied to me, so he could me far enough away from home thinking he would make a sale.

I worked for a car dealer as a salesperson a few years ago. A person called about avehicle that we had advertised. I checked with a manager to see if we still had the vehicle. He said no, but tell them we do and get them in so we can sell them something. I did not like this idea, but I had no choice. The customer was pissed. I felt like a jerk, and the a-hole manager just laughed at the whole thing. Car dealers are all SCUM. Each and every one of them. I no longer sell cars, but I had worked for several different dealers over a few years. They all pull this kind of crap. Never Ever trust a car salesperson. They are your best friend when they are trying to sell you something, but thymake a very quck change in their personality when they don't think they are getting the deal. They also laugh at customers when the get over on them, it's a big Joke. One guy had a nickname for the customers he screwed over, he called them Mr. or Mrs. Weekspay. What a scum-bag!!!!
